The bord needs the ram, it wil not start when it is removed or somtimes wen it is defect. try an other ram, for your convenience, solder an ic socket on your motherboard, that also prevents track damage. and it is then easier to change the ram.
  3. Bury St Edmunds ronnie so yeah it's a few miles away !šŸ˜•
  4. Bargain! bet it's nowhere near me and already sold

  6. Nice machine but I'm 61 and this isn't one of my fancied machines. Great find though mate.
  7. JPM Reel Magic Fruit Machine.
  8. Nice bag al and I assume you mean it's been turned back into a frog it .
  9. Unfortunately that appears to be the exception rather that the norm, well done though. Hopefully the pre-covid days will return and we can get machines for a decent price again. I'd still give my left bollock to own an original EWS without having to sell a kidney.
  10. hi guys, does any one no coinrunner.i need his help but cant get hold of him
  11. IIRC it just popped up on eBay one Sunday evening and I was on my way to Sheffield in less than 24 hours. I remember the seller messaged me saying ā€œyou know it doesnā€™t workā€™ and they couldnā€™t believe I was going to pay Ā£50 for it. The machine was sold when the daughter was cleaning out her dads house before selling and she said it had been there since she was a kid(big posh house too).
  12. Wow that's an absolute bargain, you did very well to snap that up! šŸ˜² I guess they're still out there if you're up early enough!

  14. funny you should say that. oddly enough I got a Winsprint(none runner from Sheffield)off eBay last year for Ā£50 buy it now(I said to the my other half that it felt like going back 15 - 20 years). cabinet was mint too and as it was an original Frog IT(with the 20p tube) itā€™s now been returned to its original state. I take your point though, this was definitely a lucky one off plus I had to check twice as I couldnā€™t believe the price along with I not being snapped up. getting that feeling when you are driving away from the collection site with a classic in the back of the van). I havenā€™t had that feeling in over a decade.
  15. There's a free Flash Cash on Marketplace, it's a bit of a fucking shed with bits missing but ideal for spares. And it's free!
  16. There's still the odd bargain out there, you just gotta keep an eye out. And be prepared to travel if you see something that you like. Unfortunately the days of picking up Win Sprint for Ā£100 in Loot are long gone!
  17. I think they've already been collected. I'm always looking, there's seldom any thing of reasonable price. Occasionally a clubber that someone wants Ā£450 for.
  18. Couldnā€™t agree more! I like yourself donā€™t look anymore, I will not pay the prices being asked!
  19. Hey guys I've always viewed myself as a collector of old fruit machines but I no longer look at Ebay or Marketplace for machines. They do appear to be commodities nowadays. It's a sad old world.
  20. I think you'll be very lucky to find another set, I've had a good look on the net and haven't seen anything. Still you never say never! šŸ¤ž

  22. Hello. Did someone copy the files of the prom number 2 coming from another board than mine so we would compare them ? Thanks šŸ‘
  23. Here you go.. Jolly Imperial V(1).zip
  24. Hello Bob. You are right, the machine had only 2 ROMs but I thought that adding two ROMs more (3 and 4), the machine would work like a real coin machine and not by itself ? Maybe I'm just dreaming šŸ˜‚ You managed to read the files on flipjuke, that's good. Would you please publish them on this site because when I tried to do it some time ago, you wrote me that you can't access any of the attachements. I try again to join the files and I hope that somebody can be able to run them. Thanks a lot. Jolly Imperial V(1)(3).zip
  25. Are you sure it actually had 4 ROMs? I managed to find your post on flipjuke.fr which had the ROM's posted and looking at ROM2 it seems to stop at 0x18E7? There's no data after this and it's all 0's. Not sure if that is correct as I'd normally expect to see a few characters at the end of the file. I don't have an ACE board in for repair at present so I can't try them. Not sure if somebody might be able to run them in the emulator if you post them here. Worth a go.
  26. Often there are no manuals or diagrams. The method I use myself is tracing the wires, where do they go? is there current on the wires compare with another string? Follow the wire back to the motherboard, to the right pin and see if you can trace to which Transistor. Transistors go bad over time. are there burnd risistors? also check if your lights are intact. and if you have continuity in the wires (no break) also check the diodes, if they are bad the string may not work either.
  27. Hello everyone. Here is the new machine I bought. The machine is in good condition but broken-down. It was working ten years ago but not anymore. The CPU ( INTERPLAY MPU unit ISS-b) seems in good condition because the battery is soldered onto another board which is damaged. I tested the power supply and it's OK and for now, ther is only the neon and a few bulbs that lignt up. I'm looking for documentation about this machine and about the electronic boards. Thanks a lot in advance for your help šŸ‘
  28. Hello. I received the coin mech, a Cashflow 126 and it works well. Now, I need to find the eprom files of the CPU, number 3 and 4 so I can copy them. If someone could forward them to me, I would be very grateful šŸ‘ Thanks in advance. I bought another english broken-down machine, so I will post a new topic about it. It's an SRF Interplay electronics limited machine called "REGENT" Here is a picture.
  29. If this turns out to be the Chr chip, very unlikely but possible, I can probably do a patched rom (that doesn't need Chr chip).
