how is your technical knowledge? and can you post a picture of the mpu3 motherboard. clear pictures of the printed circuit board.(pcb) so we can possibly have a look. it could be anything.

Replacing the electrolytic capacitors could be the solution. Even though they look good, they dry out and lose value

Pluto6 are programmed to match the manufacturer. A pluto6 for Astra will not work with a betcom CF card. They need to go to HEBER for programming which is not cheap. i know people who have swapped and transplanted chips from one board to another with no success. I’ve not known anyone to get round this but would like to know if possible.

Hi Have now 5 maygay digital sound boards that have like a ( explode background sound ) when in machine. I know the issue is on the digital sound board. Working Nice on a working sound board. So any idea what component i may change on the board to get the sound clear again ? Is it the ampflier ? I have tried to rinse and clean the potentiometer. But no change on sound ( just change on volume so think they are not the problem )

If you're measuring voltage from the transformer then do it when it's disconnected from the MPU.

Eachway Shuffle is a JPM machine so won't be MPU3. Can you post up a picture?

I have an Adders and Ladders MPU3 it worked until last week until the machine went into a silly phase. Now nothing boots up. I have checked all the fuses and power out of the transformer supply. On 12V fuse I have 6V on the 36V fuse 13V and the 50V 56V. Does anyone have a service manual or can help with a repair.

Hi everyone, I have two MPU3 machines Adders and Ladders and Each Way shuffle. Adders and Ladders stopped working last week, nothing seems to be booting up.

The bord needs the ram, it wil not start when it is removed or somtimes wen it is defect. try an other ram, for your convenience, solder an ic socket on your motherboard, that also prevents track damage. and it is then easier to change the ram.

Unfortunately that appears to be the exception rather that the norm, well done though. Hopefully the pre-covid days will return and we can get machines for a decent price again. I'd still give my left bollock to own an original EWS without having to sell a kidney.
