  1. Hi guys n gals! My name is Tony (or TIger), and I've been a long time emulator junkie ever since the mid 90's when it became feasible. I think my first emulator was for the PS1, it was called "BLEEM"... I'm a self taught Technogeek/Maker/Hacker/Electronics wizard... A high tech tinkerer of sorts, I guess... I've been programming in several languages since I was about 8 (now I'm 50)... I own 3 3D printers and have a lathe and bandsaw in my living room; I'm working on a small CNC mill now... I'm quite intrigued by all the recent emulation capabilities of the modern PCs! This scene has really exploded in the last 5 years! I'm a decent programmer, but I don't even hold a candle to what these Emulator Programmers have been creating lately... I'd like to share a "Little" project I've been quietly working on behind everyone's back....... I've been building my take on "The Ultimate Coffee Table Arcade Emulation System" I call it: ~~~MEGATABLE~~~ I've incorporated the following systems into the MEGATABLE design: Almost 40 emulated arcade and console systems, android emulation, PC, linux and Hackintosh emulation (almost 24 TB of data!) (done and mostly all working) Over 800 pinball tables with over 10 pinball emulators (done and working) Four removable, wireless game controller modules that will sit on your lap (so I can sit on the sofa and play games with 3 of my mates); (still in design... I want them to be small, and light as possible, and comfortable for your lap, but still offer a full suite of controls needed for four players with all the games available) Integrated wireless LiFePo4 charging system for the controllers (not purchased yet, OEM solution) RGB LED lit buttons, joysticks, trackballs, and controller cards (not purchased, but OEM available) Programmable RGB LED lighting has been purchased for the main cabinet! Integrated IR lighting for wii sensor bar emulation has already been added to the main LG display! 4 WII controllers have been purchased for Dolphin emulator... 48" Main LG Plasma screen that is motorized in two axis, with plans to include a multitouch display Controller (Mostly done, have to build cabinet to test more) 22" LG LCD vertically rising display for pinball backglass (Mostly done, have to build cabinet to test more) Optoma 1080p motorized short throw LCD HD 3D Projector (Mostly done, have to build cabinet to test more) 120 watt sound system featuring 6 X 20 watt Dayton Audio Transducers (speakers) and a single 500 watt 12" downfiring subwoofer system (done and working) BAM 3D pinball screen emulation via a hacked Xbox 360 kinect sensor (done and working as of last week, but some tables/pinball systems don't support it!) Main cabinet tilt sensor package for pinball tilt mode (I haven't looked into programming these for the pinball mode yet, but should be easy enough for the pinball systems that will take tilt input) Coffee table movement system via a hacked roomba robot to rotate the table into pinball mode or back into arcade mode (still working modes out, but mostly working) Bluetooth Android app that myself and a buddy have written for table modes, game selection, table movement, & keyboard/mouse emulation and media center control (mostly done, UI in design) Centrally mounted Thrustmaster Force feedback wheel, and pedals has been purchased for racing sims, one of my personal favorite genres... Wireless data link to my NAS Media Fileshare for media files and emulator roms (done and working) Dual Solenoids for smacking the table glass when a pinball hops off the field of play (purchased and working, have to build cabinet to test more) Hall effect sensor Pinball plunger and coin doors (not purchased) Multiple Front Ends including Launchbox /Bigbox, and Hyperspin/Rocket Launcher (mostly done and working) Jukebox with over 500,000 MP3's (done and working) Pandora and Spotify (done and working) 2 Android Emulators (Andy and Bluestacks) (done and working) Full Karaoke system with over 120,000 songs (done and working) Two Seinheiser Wireless UHF Microphones (OEM solution, purchased) Full KODI MultiMedia Center (done and working) I have plans to add AR/MR/VR once a good, (cheaper than current) wireless 4k VR solution is available. I currently have the oculus DK2 and PSVR (working on pc via trinus PSVR and IvrY) but I want wireless here! I've been researching, building and testing and debugging the various subsystems required for the build for the last 5 years, and have downloaded the roms, art, etc for the emulators and got most all the bugs worked out in the frontends. It's mostly all done! I would like to say: THANK GOD FOR LAUNCHBOX!!! I love that frontend! I'm currently working out the mechanical and electrical design of the table in CAD before starting the physical build. My plan is to put a main AC power plug directly in the floor under the table so it should look cordless to the wall... I've already bought most of the electronics I will need for the table and I have been prototyping the brackets and other mechanical parts on my 3D Printers and metal lathe for the last few months. I still need to buy the materials for the main cabinet build... The plan is to Open Source the software and CAD design of the table when I complete it. I can't wait to share it with the world... In my recent internet emulation systems sleuthing, I came across fruit machine emulation and that's what led me here. I probably won't be developing any systems for MFME, but I would like to add it to the system I have been working on. I will be doing a video tutorial on the build; I have even taking classes at my local public access TV station so I can do good quality videos for the tutorials! I currently work 3 jobs, so time and system bugs are my only limiting factors to get it completed, but I will post more here and on other EMU sites as the build progresses! Hope you guys like it! ~~~TIGER~~~

  2. Just a quick update to say it is almost finished, apart from some lamps to sort hope to get it done in a week or so or if someone would like to give a bash to see if they can see what mistakes i have probably made.😞
