  1. Got the layout-making bug again, so I decided to get another one out there. This time it's for an all-time favourite of mine called Top Streak. An old JPM machine on system 80. Set to: £3/10p/82% Use MFME6.1 to play. Anyone over forty (lke myself) will remember this one. It's more, or less a copy of Winsprint; which came out later I believe. The only difference being Top Streak shows you the best win streak of the day, on the segs, and Winsprint didn't. Credits go out to the following folks: alex1974: Classic Layout launton, And Nick Sulzer: Roms Road Runner: Reel Images. Hope you enjoy this fantastic JPM once again! Top Streak DX.zip

  2. Well finally managed to get a layout finished off, here we have happy campers from extreme gaming. This is a decent game with some corny sound samples, the dx is made from photo's parts of a different flyer and a little redrawing. It's never gonna look like a work of art as the source wasn't great, still struggling to find any decent mpu 5 extreme reel symbols so had to use the ones i knocked up from pics.Short cuts are as usual then H for keep on camping button,S to spin round the super board,N for nudge shuffles and T for cash pot,Thanks to wizard for the new mfme emu, enjoy. 4. Here is my DX of Round the Bend. Same Jackpot and stake as the classic. I know there is a flyer available, if anyone wants to do a bigger version. Thanks go to. Tommy C for sorting out the image of this DX for me, testing and for the advice he gave me. Reg for the number bands. Spa for the roms Wizard for his amazing emulator Shortcuts are the same as the classic, and can also be located in the text file in the folder. Hope you enjoy. Round The Bend Dx.zip

  5. Little bit more done tonight, because (I think) when the fuse went on the board 2 wires was connected in its place, so I presume either a external fuse was used or perhaps they was just connected together and powered on just one more time!, either way the tracks suffered! one pad of the Q1 transistor was lifted with the heat, and all around the transistor drive limiter resistor (which was burnt to a crisp!) had also burnt the board! so the Q1 pad has now been stuck down with special epoxy glue that's resistant to heat etc, and R22 burnt board bits have been scraped out and solder resist applied! So a new Q1 has now been soldered to the board! care has to be taken to avoid any solderless cavities under the transistor, but all went well and the once lifted looks good also! you can also see the board around R22 looks so much better now

  7. Reel drivers usually always have ramp tables, one for accelerating and one for decelerating. This is how you get the really fast spins like the machines have without over stepping i made a custom reel driver years ago using a fpga You could spin/step/shake the reels all controlled via spi interface. The fpga also took care of all the lamps/leds/displays etc... I still have all the fpga code if you want it. But its all written in verilog / needs to run on a fpga. Regards Russell

  9. I was the same. Couldn't afford the 10p play machines back in 1984. Played the 2/5p machines a lot more than the 10p games. Glad the layout is being enjoyed.

  11. Try getting a known working display.Very rare they just pack up,they normally fade first. If a known working display fails then suspect the mpu itself. Both quite cheap on ebay i would think
