    not off hand nope, 8 pin chip near the battery is where they live, dont have to be battery rot for them to die just the vapours can do it, some cheapskates just put a pot in place of it, i guess those people arnt bothered and just want to sell the machine on! spend little for max proffit

    yep the digital volume control chip for that channel, most likely the chip or the tracks around the chip eaten away
