  1. Personally,I prefer the original machines. There were many original machines that were converted to lesser games in my honest opinion. Mpu3 machines were the subject of many conversions to lesser machines, and I am guilty of having 3 in my collection. I have a VFS machine called Wheel of Fortune. That used to be an Instant Replay Although I have the original Instant Replay too lol. Wheel of Fortune is one of the better conversions and I like this one a lot. My BWB Superwin used to be an Options Unlimited and I have a Chances Unlimited. Tbh,this one suffers from poor programming just like my Exchanges Galore which is basically a 5p play Exchanges Unlimited. JPM introduced mk2s,3s,4,s and 5s of some of their early machines like Eachway Nudger and Nudge Double up. Not a patch on the originals tbh. EWN mk2 system 80 was pretty good and is probably rarer than the original mk1. Even mpu4s like Viva Las Vegas six and cloud 999 had poorer rebuilds by BWB. As for Line Up...the mpu3 version is tops followed by the mpu5 version which retains some original sounds, although upping the jackpot to a 5er made it more of a challenge to win the jackpot. The mpu4 version was awful. Just like the Empire version of Exchanges Unlimited. Adders and Ladders mpu3 was also the best version There have been a couple of rebuilds of this one too. Including Barcrest and BWB mpu4 versions and Empire mpu5 versions. Many original machines were also converted to 2p play games. I never really played 2p machines back in the day except a 2p Lite a Nudge which was only really good at paying out shrapnel. 2p's were ok if you didn't want to lose a lot. some gave you plenty of play for your money. Some later games converted from 20p play to 5p or 10p for instance played a bit poorer for obvious reasons lol. So,like Kelloggs Cornflakes Original is best

  2. Most techs test for connected meters by sending a very short pulse to each one at start up. It's too short to actually increment the meter but it does draw current for it to determine if a meter is connected. MFME filters these out to prevent all the meters incrementing on start up.

  3. I've had a roller coaster clubber years ago. It plays very different to the awp version. But it still a good machine thou. As for the coin mech, bf74 is the coin mech guy.

  4. Nice find Matty Always great getting a sought after machine. First time I've seen a club version of this. A few too many question Mark's on that feature trail makes me wonder if getting to the top would be a mega challenge lol. Wonder if it has the same sounds as the awp version.? Would be good to see a vid of this when you get a chance.Cheers.

  5. That’s how the test rigs test them just bung some lampholders and bulbs in place of the meters that does the same thing and you don’t have to worry about them getting hot as resistors do

  6. Once my stock of M1 boards are repaired and working I put them in antistatic bags then they fit 3 to a really usefull box (bought cheaply) and stack easily without the bottom board taking lots of weight! Easy way to store 33 working boards without getting dusty or damaged! but burry them in the garden if that floats your boat!!!

  7. Just realised it wasnt an EWN system 80. I meant to put NDUD. Have edited my post now. Sorry for any confusion lol. There wasnt a system 80 version of EWN as the mk2 was mps.

  8. For example, if I had 2 of the same machines, one is original, switchable stake and prizes, the other a rebuild version for the 5p/10p markets. I still would go for the original over the rebuild.

  9. Line up Chris is spot on! I've been there with all these machines back in the days of running an arcade. I personally prefer the originals to rebuild rubbish! I never ever seen a system 80 each way nudger!? would love to see a pic of it! I've had the mk2 mps version, same with each way shuffle. The sru (ctl) each way shuffle was a brilliant machine too, always gets played every day. Great machines back in the day!

  11. Probably all the ones nobody else can fix. Once the rot gets in, even chips that look good from the outside it can be a nightmare. What with the solder joints going crusty too. Still at the end of the day to see one come back to life is a magic thing!
