I used a 3.6v cordless phone battery in my Tensation as I wanted a higher capacity than normal... https://www.fruitemu.co.uk/ib/index.php?/topic/10657-castle-tensation-repair-project/&page=4&tab=comments#comment-169603 https://www.fruitemu.co.uk/ib/index.php?/topic/16110-diy-battery-holder/&tab=comments#comment-258035

  3. Just noticed, there's a little 25 on the middle bell. That would have been the 25 year anniversary.

  4. Insert coin any time after the word Play has scrolled through the 7 seg for the second time in attract mode. Walked up to a Line Up once with 18 on the reels and it gave me the Β£2 feature hold. The machine hadn't been played in about half an hour. The trick also works when it resets to square 3 and you have numbers on the reels to take you to a win square, say 4 which would get you to 2 nudges.

  6. Thanks to wizard for the emulator , and the rom provider this is set on 10p with the jackpot at £4 shortcuts start=spacebar feature stop=s holds 1-2-3 auto win = a gamble = g cancel/collect= c nudge up=n i am sure the lamps are correct for this, but it is weird for sure ( when you get the money grabber feature) you have one shot, gamble it and win you get 2 shots, gamble again and 4th lamp lights up ( i thought it would be the third?) lose and you get nothing, and if you win the third lamp lights up. so you get 4 shots. confused .com quickshot.zip

  15. Just mucking around with this at the moment. Not calling it a WIP, particularly if someone wants to do it themselves or have already started it. I just wanted to see it working in the emulator and seeing if a layout was viable.

  21. No worries, rom 2 uses 5x cash sounds (which is possibly 5x cash Β£25 set, as i don't think there is a project coin named 8x cash not that i could find anyhow. as for rom 1 it has on boardsounds similar to the games of that era JACKPOTS 7'S etc. and is indeed jackpot jungle image courtesy of spa

  22. I'm a high end cabinet maker joiner mate. There's not a lot you can really do to fix the missing laminate. You can build up the missing chipboard. You could then maybe apply a thin skirt or bumper strip around it to cover it up if you want it to look better. Maybe match or die in with the rubber foot area you could use something like that to cover it and look like it's purposeful. Me personally as fruity' s are a hobby out of work I don't like to do any wood work on mine as I'm not paying myself lol. I prefer filling sanding then a nice finish Matt black and go for the very tidy look rather than exact replica 99% of the time.

  24. Chipboard that has been damp and dried out turns into a Weetabix type item. Donor cabinet required if it is too bad, before it collapses. Hope you didn't pay too much for this one also.
