    Weller is unrepairable, the controller board from 1983 is dead, I have ordered a $20 temp controlled Chinese miracle from Amazon, will be with me on Sunday. What could possibly go wrong lol

    Go for something a bit newer... Cashflow 126 will be fine and easier to sort routing. If the coin mec plug has 2 keys in it still you will need to pull 1 out. Make sure you have the same number of in used coin mec pins above and below the plug it in. Top loader can be switched to a front loader 2 screws and the plastic bits come off. Also remove a dowel from the front of the mec.

    Maybe you could put some good pictures up of both machines showing the internals and where the burning smell is emanating from . Not sure what tech the eclipse is running on so a picture of that would be handy .there are one or two on here that maybe able to help.

    Hi Louie, Thanks for the input. I took out the MS111 validator and started looking to replace the transistor and diodes suggested in RobScotts's posts. But when I opened it up I found burnt out tracks on the board in a couple of places, I think its time to send this one on to its final destination and try and get another working MS111 or at least one in better condition to try and fix.

    Have you looked into mold/radon/ high power lines etc possible issues with the house ? Last 2 years of my life have been serious change and whilst things are now going well in 2019, I still feel a sense of unease....fucking old age.
