I know, but the explanation of lamp multiplexing in both of those manuals is the best I have ever seen and still applicable to any system that uses it.

Here is the finished, sized and done artwork. The JPEG files are the ones I've sent to the printers that you see above. Im off to order some more then i can mess with masks and have some to cut out

Hi all, Love fruities. Been robbed many times over the years though did bag a £250 jackpot on club make a million back in the day. Possibly addicted for a while. Such a shame arcades as we knew them have disappeared in numbers, good job we have sites like this now.

I know some people wouldn't approve of the next bit but i made a decision having 2 spare Digit boards to wire the bottom segments manually and break all the tracks that feed it. The £2.00 LEDs drove me nuts, every time the top lights turn on the 2 and last 0 going almost off messed with my head. So, being as though i obviously have OCD I've done this.... With 3v applied works perfectly, now ive just got to get some 1k resistors to use a 12v lamp supply or the top . to power them I was not messing with the loom sam has made as I'm sure there's nothing wrong with the wiring and i have no paperwork whatsoever.

The batteries leak on the jpm processor card and cause damage like this...it ruins all the copper. what we do is desolder them and reattach a new one on long wires away from the boards. A new one should be ok for 3 plus years. The battery is there so it keeps it's memory when it's switched off (how many coins in etc). If you do that that machine will stay alive for years.
