  1. Ok, just stumbled onto this thread. First, the MPU and PSU sound knackered (expensive to fix both). Value wise there is very little in it in the way of spare parts. That is probably why you got it free, as someone else just wanted rid of it and out of the way. Second, it seems like you just want it out of the way now and regret taking it in..... But it seems like you are determined to make a profit from your initial freebie / giveaway, which I think has backfired and personally don't see you getting, in my opinion it is pretty much worthless, you may get a taker (like you look it in) if you give it away, otherwise it looks like you are going to have the pleasure of breaking it down and disposing of it, which will probably cost you in the long run in fuel taking it to a tip.

  2. ah, that helps. thanks How easy would it be to replace the battery and the small component beneath if I got someone to do the soldering? I know that this might not be the ultimate solution but thought it might be worth a shot for £20 or so - if it got it working then perhaps it'll fetch more.

  8. Yeah it's starting to get Errors because of the damage between the processor socket and s616...looks like both sockets will need to come off... it will probably start hanging up and reseting soon. It's an iffy one to do because it's still partially working so may seem ok but it needs a fair bit of work. It looks like its been sitting flat as the edge connector looks ok though which is a plus... If you get really stuck and no one offers I'll have a look... I'm really busy though so see if anyone can help you first... there's some shit hot people on here so hopefully one of them will step in 😎👌

  10. This is why I don't bother posting, you NEED to discover what it is wrong FIRST as I said previously, no point buying random bits and hopeing, well unless you have managed to somehow mind red what is wrong! oh my car wont start I better just replace the engine!!

  12. I bumped the thread up in introductions. His monopoly hadn't worked for 10 years and that small component was all it was. Yeah just leave it until it stops might not do it again for a week or two but it will stop eventually

  15. Even if offered for free it could work out very expensive. New M1a/B Board - £120-£150 New power supply - £20-£40 Coin Mech/Update - £25 Delivery - £70-£80 unless it's a local who can pick up. Looks like a freebie all day long to me.

  17. one day ben, one day maybe i will be lucky like you and others . anyway back to the machine in question : dont forget new owner if buying it must : float it up with coins and tokens have it shipped to them fix it have the coin reprogrammed and thats just a small list that could potentially cost a couple of hundred quid ontop of there purchase price , its deffo a freebie machine to someone local . otherwise a non started unless its your grail and you have spare money and lots of it i have nothing further to say about the weetabox over and out

  19. I use the .8mm for resistors etc and 1mm or maybe 1.2mm for triacs (can't remember off the top of my head). Battery connections 1.5mm. Always good to have a selection if you are going to do much of this.
