New machine is here ! I’d like to give a massive thank you to @stevelancett who collected and stored this machine for me for a few weeks so could get it shipped over to Northern Ireland. Top guy 👍 ill be posting more updates on it below.3 points

exactly as Mavroz says, your describing something that is very very common! Mpu4 may work fine in a 3 reel machine paying out, but put in in a clubber and payout it wont!!!!! this is because different triacs are used between 3 and 4 reel machines for the payouts, so works in one but not in the other because the board is still broken! when you think about it mpu4 only uses 3 solenoids (20p token and £1) so the other 4 go unused but these remaining ones are used in 4 reel machines for different coins! EVERY input and output on the board needs testing3 points

Many people perform a "fix" on a board which then appears to work in their machine, send it to someone else with a different machine, it doesn't work as it should and then they complain it is faulty. This is why a proper rig to test the boards after repair is needed. The board may well work fine in a certain machine, but not another.... Not strange at all. Every input and every output needs to be tested on the board, ideally, to stop the above situation happening.2 points

Ok will do I thinks it's a faulty with 24v line as there is a nick in one of the tracks slightly will open it up shortly and put some photos it full light up so cant be too bad just resets when door switch or pushed in though and 24v light is the one what flashes2 points

😞 this machine has worked absolutely perfect for its entire life with me bar a power supply failure that was sorted a year or so ago it has never thrown up any errors ever as far as i can remember ....im guessing pulling a few items out on your mini refurb has quite possibly dislodged a connector so might be worth checking all plugs first 😞2 points

Thanks Andrew 680k how many watts? I thought a resistor across the mains would light up like those old bar heaters lol! Cheers Ronnie1 point

yup was just going to say use one of the iee filter sockets and just discard that capacitor arrangement, you may have to put a 680k resistor across the mains somewhere so when its unplugged it stops the person unplugging it getting a nasty shock from the plug pins1 point

Good luck with this ronnie .I've been there a few times before with restorations like this so know what a headache this kind of repair will be .I've recently done a nudge shuffle which was rotten but most things are possible to repair .I replaced most of the bottom part inc front door and rear panel and cash box shelves plus the kick step .also side bit by the button panel and also the wood at the very top of the machine . I can show pics of this restoration if you d like to see it as the nudge shuffle uses the same cab . A few ideas might be to replace the side part by button panel .cut out and cut a new bit of wood .dowels /screws and glue to hold it .also replace the panel entirely on the one side that s cracked .the main problem is that I've not been able to find sheets of laminated vinyled chip board to same pattern or colour as the original .however you can get rolls of sticky backed wood effect vinyl or fablon of the same pattern.1 point
