  7. Another classic from Bugs and I. Many thanks to all who posted helping to describe how this one looks. This is either semi mute or has an emu issue with the sound, hope it does not spoil it too much for you all. Cheers. Dirty Dozen (Jpm).zip

  8. Here's a bingo themed machine from Barcrest, called Clickity Click. Most likely found in bingo halls back in the early 90's, it's set on a £6 token jackpot at 20p play and uses the rarely used plasma display. Keyboard shortcuts in the notes section of the emulator. Thanks to Wizard for the amazing emulator. The Rom and Flyer provider Please use MFME V19.6 or later to play Clickity Click.zip

  11. Aint that the truth. I never understand why anyone would go for a machine they never would want. Unless of course there is a good flip and massive profit. Im saying no more. I know too much. Sad times for genuine collectors that don't sell 😐☹

  18. A bit of a learning curve, got my new chipboard for the sides and a new template router bit and tried a cut using the old side as a template, not very smooth or satisfactory result! But I was just using the router to chomp through the wood ! What I should have done was roughly cut round it with a jigsaw leaving a few mils for the router to trim. If it's dry tomorrow will have another go at it. Still not done the bezel yet but I have a brand new set of glasses for it! The old one's are ok but has a bit near the credit display that's coiming away!

  20. There was no fight over the machine or any shady underhand tactics from the buyer The seller just chose a person and sold it to them No silly prices were paid. Nothing to see here As mentioned plenty more pcps in the sea I wish I'd have brought it as would have been my 1st machine. Gutted I missed out Glad someone had it. Happy days

  22. I started my first board tonight here's where I'm at. I'm planning to repair the tracks, refit new IC's when they turn up. One repair needs to go through the via onto the back. Change that diode on D30 to a 1N. Change the old transistor q1. Try it Open to any suggestions as usual. Also looking for the hex file of the m1b test Rom. Thanks

  26. key to maygay is test the RAM pins with a logic probe while there is no card in. They should all be floating (not HI or LO) . If any are showing a signal theres a shorted IC on the databus. Second key is a magic number - 20C0. In nearly al M1 games the very first instruction in ROM ( at 2800h) loads a register with 1. The next instruction after that writes the value in the register to location 20C0. That happens to be pin 4 of U11 on 1A and 1B which sets IOenable to HI , ie turns it off. That in turn sets RAM enable at the PAL chip ON. If you cant do that, you cant peform a RAM test. just in case it helps , on maygay RAM sits at 0000-1FFF, the IO sits 2000-27FF and the ROM fills the address space after that (2800 and up)
