  1. ACE - Golden Streak Tech: sp.ACE Here's a nice little lo-tec from Ace. It plays on 3 win lines, either get a reel win or 3 gold bars on the matrix to play the streak game. Just a shame it's mute due to no sound roms. Thanks to Wizard for the emulator and the latest update that allows this to run. The image and rom provider. Please use MFME V19.8 or later to play Golden Streak.zip

  2. So I got the mech updated and of course now pound coins getting jammed in the tubes. Got completely bored with sanding and it seems almost impossible, so bought some clear acrylic tube. With a dremel and some 2 part epoxy glue, the transplant is complete! Took the "funnel" off the top of the old tubes and fixed to the new. Dremel cut slots for the switches and we're in business!

  5. Here we have a skiing themed layout from ACE called On The Piste. This layout comes in 2 flavours - 20p £8.00 token jp or 25p £10.00 all cash jp. SOUND ISSUES. Like alot of these ACE layouts, there are missing sound ROM's however the sound from Golden Mile fit this layout nicely, so if you can put up with the odd seaside tune you should have no problems. Thanks goto Wizard for his fantastic emulator andy-1 for the images and a part started layout. The ROM provider. Please use MFME V19.5 or later to play. Enjoy. 13. I used paper wrapped around some old wardrobe rail. I didn't muck around though... properly attacked them and kept chucking handfuls of £1's until they fell unrestricted. You have to put a fair bit of effort in mate 😎

  16. OK so what bout a eprom that's been put in the wrong way round and no longer working!! (or in the case of this one it has just failed with age as this one was soldered in!) this is it!! This usually happens to a epom that there is not a dump of!! well what usually happens is the power +5v pin gold wire inside the eprom burns away, can you see it in the pic above?? well have circled the ends of the burnt away gold wire in the next pic and really made big! So this needs to be remade to retrieve the precious data! so the quartz window has to be removed carefully! this takes a lot of care! done a good few this way but had just one crumble the bottom half so was totally useless!! but if all goes well the top comes off enough to get to the die!! I solder a tiny wire to the power pin and very very carefully bend it to rest on the die where the broken wire is! looked like this!! then very quickly set to read the eprom!! this is a 'if there is no other way' method! this was a display from a electrocoin pyramid which has 2 eproms on the back of the display, I presume as a table to light the segments, but it got the data and was able to reprogram a replacement!

  17. Hi all Im very sorry to have to announce that Bell Fruit games factory will be closing. The clear out starts in Jan. All of the shop floor are being made redundant. I’m not 100% about development but would assume it won’t be good for them either. It’s such a shame but the market has moved on so much. The video products are doing really well now making games easy to distribute. Online also takes a huge chunk of players. I have had some great years there and met some brilliant people. I wish them all good luck for the future :(. Cheers John

Can anybody on here extend time limited dongles we have about 60 scorpion 6 games and while none are real urgent we have already found bfm technical support is not responding tho we did get one today that was ordered last week .yesterday the cleaner answered the phone and told us the whole floor was shut down and staff not in work... the bulletin board is not available we have got many softwares but yesterday got a data machine for non data site use we managed to get it to run dond big box now but that’s how we found out this news.... phoned them for program change thanks if anyone has this tech info can’t afford to replace all the reel stuff with digital in the coming months we already invested in a dozen for the best pubs we have got some older machines on life dongles so if someone can make these for later games 2017 onward we would like to hear ... good home sideline for any workshop staff who worked on scorp 6 application or r&d at bell fruit???
