  2. OK, I've dug out my old XP laptop I use with my EPP-1F. I use the DOS version of PromProg - I'm sure there was a reason I didn't use the Windows version but can't remember why! Running PromProg in compatibility mode for Windows 95 with all other compatibility options ticked. Port setting in Windows: COM2, 1200bps, 8 data bits, No parity, 1 stop bit, Hardware flow control, FIFO's disabled. Port setting in PromProg: COM2, 19200bps, RTS/CTS flow control.

  7. God knows why. But i felt sorry for this machine on a auction link. So i bid ยฃ30 and got it for ยฃ10. Well ยฃ12.52 all in. I don't buy club machines ever. Only slight problem is its in Dorset some 250 miles away from me. I might get the one i used for the isle of wight courier to give me a price. Does anyone know this machine or what it might be converted from ๐Ÿ˜Š

  13. Yes,wd 40 was stupid and should not really be near a machine.of coarse over th years maybe some drunken twat has spilt beer on it like most with stuck or sticky buttons.Wd 40 is good for removng tape residue etc but always spray on a cloth first never the glass.I always use autoglym resin polish for glass, looks great and dont run under the edge lips to the print.Ive know people wipe glass artwork with white spirit and thinners and ended up with clear glass.I suppose most machines have a hard working life and at 25+ year old it will show, and other than replace it,not a lot you can do.My juke box only gets a few drops of sewing machine oil every 6 month.but thats 62 year old.i dont think any mpu based machine needs lubricant at all

  14. Sounds good. I guess like Reel Deal i could always put it up for a swop or sell on. I wouldn't want to destroy a machine for the sake of it. I have that mpu4 Freight Night in my Gorleston unit. As ive not had the heart to break it
