Hi all.Work now started on the triv.Cabinet already cleaned ,painted and done.Fitted new reel bands tonight.I used a hairdryer to warm existing joint, then carefully used a blunt knife to work through and free it off.I used masking tape on reel frame to line up new band then more double sided tape to lock in postion.I didnt damage any bands and it took about 45 mins.As you can see from the pics,my replacements are much better than what was on.Whilst reel bands were off i took the liberty to replace the lamps.More pics as i progress.Oh yes,it is clear double sided tape.1 point

Gear wheels arrived today.I put the wheel on the shaft, tapped it up the splines lining the hole up,i then had to carefully drill through the other side of the boss then re insert the pin through the gear wheel.Ass embled with new special grease and very light oil on the shafts.I have replaced the 4 rivets with small nuts and bolts. And to make fitting easier i added some flying leads to give more movement as the wires are short and its a pig to get into position. The last pic shows where the triple cam wheel sits when assembled.1 point

Yep this is the downfall of board repairs, you do the track repairs only to be greated by more faults afterward! It definitely is not as straightforward as some think, the more damaged the board the worse it gets, it takes a good while to reverse the damage a battery has done over years!!!!1 point

Trying some impact in blue now that have some SMD components designed in to make them cheaper, I think making them blue solder mask really makes them stand out!1 point

TS is just Token Selector fitted because in the 80s onwards a few different types of token were in circulation so the mech had links that in different configurations would allow the type of token you want it to accept but the industry had a standard brass 20p token which was the most popular selection offered. I reprogram and have reprogrammed quite an amount now of all the old MARS MS/ME mechs to new coins.1 point

Well done, all, on getting it worked out. Looks like another 'unique' machine will soon be emulated. Don't remember seeing another ACE machine on system 1 with a flipper reel, except for Flip A Note. Picture attached. No roms available for FAN.1 point
