Now that I had rid myself of most of my 90s machines I have managed to bag 3 more machines from the 1980s. As I am swaying to an almost all 80s collection now. I have managed to find myself a JPM Bouncer 10p/£3 A Super Exchanges Unlimited 10p/£3 and A Barcrest Fortune Numbers. All need work doing on them first and a bit of a tidy up. All are away atm,but will get some piccys to share with you all as soon as.4 points

Good and no worries mate. You and Mr Lancett should get together and open a Golden Sands or Ceasers Palace down the coast so we can all have a weekend of drinks, tea and biscuits and an obsessive stroll down memory lane.3 points

All needs a good clean and a service. Bouncer needs the boards repairing and a new set of reel bands as they have dry cracked due to long storage. Happily all 3 are not too far gone to be saved. I think they are worth saving and the effort will be put in to get them running. If I'm honest,I never liked Fortune Numbers as i hated that awful roulette gamble feature. That probably change now that I have one lol. Updates here as they come along.🤗3 points

And Bouncer. The artwork on the bottom glass needs love as some of the white has peeled away. Hopefully I can do something though.1 point

Lovely Chris. Nothing wrong with a more severe retro collection. Hope you get some vids done when you have sorted everything.1 point

A very interesting topic and I see a lot of fantastic results I am also working on reel band production for about a year now. I have made a new set for my Mini Runner and a set for my Halloween Runner, a gimmick based on the famous Random Runner which can be rebuilt with a window and new upper reel bands. New projects at the moment are a System 80 machine of JPM's Super Bars and '88 model reel bands of Bell Fruit machines like Club 2000. I only struggle how to allign the symbols in the design software (Inkscape) in a fast way. Now it takes a lot of time to measure every symbol and the space between. Is there a faster way to do this? For my reel bands I cooperate with a local printing company who print my reel bands on glossy self adhesive vinyl which gives a beautiful glossy effect like they are original. The mask is not printed but cut out by a plotter on self adhesive black vinyl. With the use of soap and water I put the full color symbol reel band onto the mask. By using water with soap in it you can position both layers onto each other, and later on you can press the water between both layers away and then the glue starts t do its job. Wet Application of adhesive vinyl I think the results are quite OK. Price about 18 euros for a sheet with 3 bands (200mm x 800 mm) and the mask with the same dimensions.1 point
