  9. Hi all, Here is a game called Roll Up running on Ace's System 1 tech. Machine was released in the early 90's and was a conversion kit made by PCP. Used to play this machine a bit back in the day and have done the layout from memory as I don't think a pic is available for this one. Plays quite well with lots of feature entries etc but rarely hits the jackpot! Thanks also to Hit The Six for help and feedback. Enjoy! Roll Up.zip

  10. that green battery that is on it now has (in my opinion) NOT caused that damage!, in fact the battery looks new, the damage has occured because of a old blue varta nicad battery judging from the rot pattern and colour

  13. I would love to see a picture of the front open. I remember the bottom section being quite fascinating inside, with lots of cams and switches etc., and the top section had a hopper on the right, and a tube on the front part on the left (Penny version).

  17. Quote: from RF..."Out of interest FS how many games would be played through the machine in development in a true play environment (e.g. not cheats with cancel and the like so they can test every feature). The thought occurs (and has for a very long time) that proper in depth testing doesn't occur in some corners of the industry, and some things that get through the test show that (send them over here first instead and I will tell you when the nudge sample takes too long to start lmao). A good one for that was the £15 Sonic upgrade which if you landed on LOSE on the left corner (below the number reel) and you had an extra life, the life would be taken and then the start button wouldn't work! How do such obvious things like that get through?" Probably not enough, is the simple answer. The development time allowed isn't really enough to fully test a game to be honest. That's the same for all the manufacturers. The operators are very silly in how they choose machines to buy etc. For example, it's very rare that they will even attempt to re-test a failed game a second time. Makes it impossible to "develop" a game really. You either hit or miss, 1st time. I would say it's actaully very rare that a game is ever released without any kind of bug(s) remaining.
