  1. Well that could work out quite nicely for you. Hopefully you'll get your money back and also keep the machine. That would REALLY piss on Padgett's chips!!

  2. Thanks. The first two words in his advert say it all. Fully working. He really is a complete arsehole. It beggars belief that you can send a machine out without a coin mech! Good luck, I hope you get your money back (including the courier costs too don't forget!) - keep us updated.

  3. Good advice from everyone, as one of the people he has attempted to rip off I can confirm he is a very crafty, nasty person and when you send machine back I can just about guarantee something will "happen" to said machine or accuse you of either removing parts or damaging the machine saying it complete and was working when sent to you. It could be that you are instructed to return the machine before refund is given so,Take many pictures of the machine including the error alarm before it goes back as proof of it's condition plus including where the coin mech is missing. I would include a picture of courier, van with machine in it and vehicle reg as this bloke being capable of anything.

  5. If it wasn't stated on the listing, he can say what he likes... It has to be in black and white it was missing before purchase (proof)... If he sends a courier, demand a written receipt for it, with the courier name, address, get the vehicle registration and make them sign the receipt to say the non working machine has been collected. Keep all mails as proof if he says he is sending a courier etc etc. You will get your money back via PayPal, just stay on the ball with this one as he is a scumbag and will have you over at any opportunity!

  8. The Main board switches the +12 on via a relay in the psu mate. Just because the battery is on leads it doesn't mean to say the board is in good condition. People see that they're leaking and take them off but seldom clean them so the copper keeps on getting attacked. Take a close up pic of the battery area.

  9. I honestly think it's going to be more trouble than it's worth to try and courier the machine back him. I've been stung by this slimy bastard before and I know he will try every trick in the book to avoid handing any money over, including saying he's never had the item back whether he has or not. If I were you, I'd just keep the machine and try and get hold of a coin mech for it. As for the PSU, crack it open and post some photos on here. It's probably a simple fault that one of us could help you with.

  10. When you received it, it was NOT "full working" (presume he meant 'fully') so the item was not as described and eBay should agree you have a legitimate case. In view of the hassle and cost of returning it, you could try negotiating a partial refund enough to cover the cost of buying a coin mech. That's negotiating either direct with the seller, or via eBay proceedures. Hope it all works out ok for you.

  11. i speak from experience here, be prepared to jump through hoop after hoop, talking to numpty after numpty at ebay / paypal etc etc trying to explain its a 120 kgs fruit machine and not easily sent back . at the end of it 2 things might happen, the machine will go back at sellers cost and youll be refunded , or ebay will refund you and tell you to dispose of the item as its not feasible to return it try to also not post about it all on a public forum as it wont help you as youll just be reliving every horrendous moment of your ordeal good luck p.s before anyone asks .... someone i know brought a "workshopped fruit machine" it wasnt far from it from wales , ebay refunded in full and told me to dispose of the machine, how he wanted , so he flogged it on ... the end

  13. I would contact eBay, Explain the situation and get advice from them. Although they are not always helpful to everyone, In my experience and because all my communication with the idiot was through eBay messaging they could look at both mine and his responses. With my concerns even though I was the seller and he was the buyer, They were very good with no problems and ruled totally in my favour.

  14. Always worth taking screen shots of description price and all additional info that you need to fall back on just in case things go wrong. Hope you get all your money back though.

  18. You won't find the board I posted in any Crown Jester or Pyramid, they are completely different, for one thing the later one only supports sampled sound, there is no yamaha or AY chip on it, and the display is directly driven and doesn't have those character lookup ROMs on it anymore.

  19. I've stitched the ROM files together and disassembled the resulting file, it all seems to look like valid Z80 code but obviously we can't say for certain without running it through some kind of emulator... Bonus Talker.bin Bonus Talker.asm Bonus Talker.ref
