Thanks mate. I always thought Nudge Shuffle was pretty tight back in the day. My one seems ok though although Nick claims it is tight lol😄 Disappointed Exchanges only made it to no.6. It was an early leader as well. It was all fun though and keeping tab of all the scores and positions along the way made this pretty interesting. I did do a similar countdown recently but only gave a few days notice for people to vote hence a very different outcome. Here's that one....2 points

Maygay released an EPOCH test machine called Discovery 2000. It failed, I only ever saw it in one arcade in Walsall West Mids. It had a similar layout to the original, and the object of the game was to reach 2000 points. Reels had overlaid points, which (I dimly recall) started the feature at 500 points. Artwork was quite futuristic, (I.e. bright, and in yer face). I suppose Maygay was hoping this success may have opened doors for other retro themed machines. Nah..we wanted Simpsons. Jet Streams, Manhatten Skylines, Sprints, Lightning Strikes, I saw mostly in the pub trade, Arcades didn't seem to like them. Oldskooler2 points

Massive thanks to amot for the roms, evo1 for testing, and to wizard for the amazing emulator. there is 2 layouts 1. set on 10p with the jackpot at £5 2. is set on 20p with the jackpot at £8 both are jackpot ready. if you like to play on 2p with the jackpot at £3 config and put dips 4 5 and 7 on. Thanks for that. so RC reached No. 2 in both countdowns. I think those of us who remember mpu3 were a little disapointed with mpu4. mpu3s such as big shot, razzle dazzle, fortune numbers and others of simular era could streak jackpots and you could end up with £15/£18 tokens extremely quickly. Those that had the super series feature could streak a few quid too. But I remember playing machines such as beat the clock and thinking it was pretty impossible to win a significant amount from them. Even the Action series which could streak £10 or £12 occasionally didn't rival the mpu3s, jpms and others of the same era. By the time blue moon, nichelodian (which was my favorite in that series) and cloud 9 came along the jackpots had been increased and large streaks were built into them but of course, this means in the arcade you could put £60+ through one relitavely quickly and win next to nothing. Of course, I still played them occasionally. I always thought NO was a little more interesting than the others due to it's unique payout strategy.1 point

Yep, it churns through numbers and the software picks one just before it spins the reels! So as random as you can get using electronics back then! It was approved as being random by the gambling commission back in the day1 point

I’m impressed by all this... the test rig, and the 3D printing! Think the storage draws are an excellent idea! - Just wish I had a 3D printed now... could be on my Christmas lit this year! 😂 Keep up the good work! 👍🏻1 point

Cheers Dave. Would love a Razzle Dazzle now! Although I hated it back in the day for that awful roulette gamble feature. I find it has quite a bit of depth in its game play, although it can be tight as well. Yes,a lot of people remember Line Up and considering how popular it is with the many who posted their votes, it's not even a rare machine tbh as there are quite a few about. But it does command a lot of enthusiasm for being an iconic machine.1 point

It was interesting to read the story of your Pyramid. I had one too and when I turned it on after about 25 years of being stored in the garage the power supply went bang. I figured it would be more expensive to fix than it was worth so I took a sledgehammer to it. I kind of regret this now after reading your posts above. I kept the reels and glass though (not sure why - I just kind of liked them.0 points
