  1. This is a design fault recognised by project as all the PC 92 machines were burning out the same component when new. They explained it as being underrated and sent out a replacement guide

  7. @Dazza So it's 560 ohm not 56K, sorry about that. Also, the original resistor is rated at 0.4 watts, so best use a 1 watt replacement rather than 0.5 watt as that's too close for comfort.

  8. Maybe they do, but there are lots of different shapes and sizes of buttons. If you'd given some dimensions in your original post that would have sped things up a bit!

  10. Hi Ronnie, Thank you for your reply (sorry for the delay in my response) . Before reading your reply my fluorescents were on but the credit display was not and neither were any other lights and sounds. I then stripped the machine and put back and now the fluorescents are off but I have '03' displayed on the credits which is somewhat encouraging (as I assume this is an error code). I see only two LEDs on the main circuit board now. I reseated the cables about 5 times but it made no difference (but I did not clean contacts - I will try that next; any cleaning tips?) See photos below. By the way, I found the Service Manual for it which I forgot I had (I will scan an upload for others as soon as I have time).

  11. Yeah Mux 31 error. Sometimes they do run normally and flashes up on the alpha. The bulbs can glow very bright and melt the lamp mask and artwork
