Thanks massive to a good friend on here who made me an offer I couldnt refuse as it was a missing one out of the Family of classic JPMs I was after. Needed to do a board swap but got it to boot. Needs a few odds doing to it which will get sorted Along the way lol. Including putting this on castors so she will sit at the same height as the others. If anyone has access to ROM files and can burn a set for me I wouldnt mind a 5p/Β£2 set if any exist. Please pm me if you can offer to do this for me. Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for tuning inπ€4 points

The battery is just there for the machine to keep its memory when turned off (book keeping, payout %, streak pots, cashpots etc). It will run fine with out it but just start fresh each time. I always still use them as you only get the basic gameplay with no on going memory. Obviously they leak and destroy the copper tracks and components and kill just about every board out there. So we take them off the board and 'fly' wire them away on long flywires so the can't do any damage if they leak again. Impact3s can't take alot of battery damage JPM decided to fit the battery as close as they could to the processor and logic chip which is unique and can't be brought off the shelf. I would 100% fly wire them all away and attend to any leaks straight away to keep them running. Hope that helps you dude1 point

Hi mate I repaired an Impact 3 a few weeks ago... it does not look to bad as it's not rotten under the sockets. I'd take the battery off scrape it with a fibreglass pencil. Clean off any corroding material, neutralise the board and seal it back in if nothing's damaged. If you leave it I will keep rotting like this one did and need a repair like this. You will have to meter the tracks to check there's good continuity all along. If in doubt with any tracks then repair them. This board booted and is back to life and fully working again. You can see I did every track that was damaged and went through the board to the other side.1 point

Okay so starting again. First off apologies to any mods of this is in the wrong section please move if you see fit, (just leave us a link π ) I have this Ca$h Vegas strip machine after a suggestion from the very friendly and helpful @-Crest- and after honing in on the battery on the PCB furrier than a pimps coat on pimp of the year day! So ..... Simple enough the previous owner was generous to leave me with just two bolts at the top of the cage. carefully not knowing how much of the loom I had surplus I lowered it to the shelf. Ooops I didn't want anything happening to this like a screw or something hitting this, (the correct name for this please anyone?) I am guessing but it would be nice to know if any other of these would fit right on in and a similar experience can be had? Is it just plug and play? anyway I decided to provide a few simple labels for the venture to each of the connectors, and sticking the labels on the face me side reminded me which way they would clip back together. ( I would love to know what you guys do?) And just like that the box was out and well there is quite a bit of space, Oh I forgot to mention the reels had a pull pin and just lifted out on the tray and there was more than enough loom to place them on a conveniently placed top Giza! With the cage out I could see the little blighter alright..... Eagle eyed already probably see something but turn a little .... URGGGH So I definitely needed to get the board out but what did I come against .... Rounded off screw head!!! like really round, and it wasn't getting much better? π Well a few attempts later and I decided an old trick to screw another in behind it! With mixed results SUCCESS! Except....I know have the mounting nut attached, forevermore! Well small wins Ill take it! then further inspection...... I cleaned it up and inspected the tracks......... So and if you don't mind I pause! This is going to have to be a PART 1 now as this is where you guys come in......Is this track to badly damaged? would you know what my next steps would be? Do I A) Buy a replacement battery and stick it on see what happens? (after cleaning it up a little) I am guessing a battery in that state isn't actually working and so I would need another to see how bad it really all is? (is this the cheaper easiest option?) Look for a replacement board? Is it just that simple plug and play style? ( Help on this one appreciated) If that is a less fiddly solution. C) Something I haven't thought of yet? (so many things your dying to tell me I bet.....come on then) Thanks for reading I look forward to hearing any thoughts on ABC, or what I can do at them moment?1 point

A big thanks goes to Louie Bee for uploading the ROMS, and some pictures on which this is based off. Thanks to Richy100 for providing the flyers (inside the folder). Thanks to Reg (desertislandfruits.com) for testing. And finally, thanks to Wizard for providing us all with MFME and its evolution:) Shortcuts and further info is in the Read Me file if needed.
