  1. You could say it was a barn find considering how mucky it was inside, a full strip down was needed, reels yet to put back in place,,

  2. black cabs are easy to do,wood effect not so easy.i tend to mix paint to match the lighter colour, then a darker brown with a fine pointed brush to paint in the wood grain effect.impossible to make perfect but does look better than chipped away laminate.

  5. I'm quite surprised how many Bloopers Barcrest have written into this manual considering they did have a bit of a practice run with MPU1, 2, and 3, If i remember correctly somewhere in the PSU info it mentions that the Triac Supply is 48v DC But for the basic engineer the above Rom Info table is very confusing as they don't point out that the Eproms in the first Paragraph is in Kbits which = 64Kbytes, so on the Table it shows a 64K rom in P3 but that is actually a 27512 Rom 512Kbit ??? Back In the day I did the Coinslot Service engineers Course and a lot of the engineers that were doing it were ex electro mechanical Engineers trying to learn the CPU systems, and to make it even worse the training was done on the ACE tech "Space" which in its self was not the best to learn on... but things like the above Rom info would have totally messed with their heads with out an full explanation ... good ol Barcrest Anyway i better start erasing some eproms .... hey i dont use those "new fangled" tiny UV LED erasers ... im blooming Old school ... Just dragged my unit out of the basement from the 80s and it still works PS: Anyone want a Facial Tan All the best Dicky

  7. Hi all hope you're ok and keeping safe and sane! I've a few old machines that need the deep scratch, chips and chunks missing out filling and touching up. Not sure if anyone else has tried to do any touch up paint jobs? I would love to see pics of them if you have! I've tried numerous wax blocks and inked pens to touch up and its not the best. Bought some paint yesterday which isnt too bad of a colour, will mix to lighten and darken the colours and see how I get on. Also keeping this to 1 thred, another question. Went on holiday to Weymouth and Bowleaze cove amusements (with a great chippy on the side) ๐Ÿ™‚ I remember playing a red and also a blue coloured 2p machines that looked similar to exchanges unlimited. Were they exchanges unlimited or another machine as for the life of me I cant remember the name of them ๐Ÿ™‚

  9. Of course you can always fill in the damage for a flat smooth edge then use fablon to cover it.but I would remove the t moulding first then overlap do the t molding holds it in place round the edge

  10. Good luck, restoring, painting etc always a challenge on old damaged machines. Worth it though if you can make it better itโ€™s satisfying. Good luck!

  11. Think its going to be a mission but will try later after work as wood effect looks like it will be tricky as you say black cabs are nice and easy. But spot on the chips and scuffs does make it look tired, anything is worth a shot to tidy it up a bit
