I will Look at that soon, have some other jobs that i need to do on the printer first ... then its next on the list As Cannon man said ... thats the way i wanted to do it ... there is a method in my madness and i have worked out if i did not use Ebay i would have to charge more for each item ... Ebay provides a one stop shop in selling ... i have a central place to go to monitor incoming sales... and it notifies me when you click "buy it now".... it automatically generates a prepaid postage label with your address on.. notifies you when its shipped puts payment into my account ... and allows me to manage sales and stock control as i can put how many i have available and it stops selling when i have run out .... if i had to do all of this manually it would take me many hours more and would cost me more than the Ebay and paypal fee I cant monitor these forums every time someone wants one ... i would likely miss some orders and then i have to process and check incoming payments and the more different items i sell the more confusing it will get ... so sorry Player, i hope you understand ... it really makes life a lot easier for me and makes it more cost effective for the buyer and gives the buyer protection ... especially if i die from an infection of my balls tomorrow all the best ... dicky4 points

Well at long last I've started delving in to the murky world of MPS1. First impressions, there's a bit more to get your head round than MPS2 but being as it contains nearly all discrete stuff repairs are easier to achieve as parts are still available. None of those horrible TIPP116 transistors for a start! Not sure if the PAL chip goes faulty though but I haven't come across that yet. The tester has come into it's own too. A few common faults have shown up starting with short circuit tants on the power fail detection supply. There's two in parallel C97 and C31 (10uF/35v) but so far only C97 appears to go short?? I'm changing them both as a precaution. Quite a few of the normal input output failures due to the 74LS541 chips running hot and others with the odd port failed. Output fails due to bad BCX38 transistors. Had one that didn't boot and my hand touched IC6 (TMS9902) which made me squeal as it was roasting. The board booted on removal and ran the diags OK without it. I suspect only certain games would need this chip fitted? Another board not going to reset was caused by IC27 (74LS04). This was an odd one as BCLKOUT was missing from IC15 (74LS541). As with MPS2 I went straight for this chip but in this case IC27 had gone bad and this controls the o/p from IC15. Funny thing is IC27 isn't connected to anything it just goes to the extension socket on the side so why it went bad is a mystery? Lots more sticky faults to tackle most seem to fall into the Watchdog and I/O failure so quite a bit of head scratching to come methinks. Watch this space.....2 points

It's like all these techs, once you've worked on them for a while you slowly pick up all the little quirks and the faulting starts to get a bit easier. (he said with fingers tightly crossed)1 point

Hi guys ... SUCCESS π The first one came out as near as perfect and a lot better than i expected and they fitted the connector exactly did some test insertions and it works fine a very precise fit to the connector and a firm positive insertion I have made a couple of minor tweaks and started printing the first batch of 5 ( around 12 hours to print 5 units ) So i will leave them printing over night and check that they are ok tomorrow evening The Price will be the same as the plug puller Β£4.75 inc delivery . i will try and get them on Ebay tomorrow evening depending on my op tomorrow All the Best ..... Hey yes I picked up the machine on Sat it's working right. I can try and burn the sounds back onto another set of Eproms to test them out... thats a strange one as I rekon I dumped them ok... were my game roms ok?? The only thing that's unsual about the machine is it has an extra board added into the serial link for the LED segment displays which I've never seen before on an Epoch. I'll have a look the next few days. If it runs the Reburned sounds that will prove the roms. Sure I can take some pictures for you. Hopefully there's not an issue with it. It's taken me years to find one so I wanted to share the files.1 point

Yep, count me in on one of these also! And enjoy tomorrow! Had that done 20 odd years ago, the p was fine, it was the infection afterwards, like a bloody cows udder for a while πππ1 point

Hi Cannon Man I have some of the spade connectors for the buttons and they are a different tool as the IDC insert is a different spacing ... but i will look at that also So here is design V1 i have not copied the "MoonPoint" tool exactly as im not sure if there is patent on this ... so i have redesigned hopefully with some improvements I know that these tools have a flat end ... the expensive meta tools have a radius in the end to help centre the wire when pushing down .. so i have added this to the prototype The Printer is running some other jobs at the moment so will print the test version of this when they are finished ... im also in hospital tomorrow for a quick op "snip snip" so may be out of action for a day or two all the best Dicky1 point

I'd certainly take one or twonoff you dicky .what cannonman had in the picture is fine and also for doing plugs like mpu4. Not sure if there are any differences in the measurements for what different companies used .I can send you a bulb holder and mpu4 plug if it helps you .let me know1 point

Regarding the Plug Pullers on Ebay I just wanted to say a big personal thank you to all that responded The Total Print time for the 12 units on the bed at the moment is 28 hours ... which works out to around two and a half hours each unit ... but the most efficient way to produce small batch items ... to have an ejection mold made would cost thousands of pounds but would take seconds to make all the best ...
