Excellent bit of kit too... Shame I didn’t have some of it 4/5 weeks ago would have come in handy rewiring an MPU4 lamp loom! Hopefully I might not lose bits of it being in bright yellow! Many thanks again Dicky! 👍🏻1 point

Hi guys just a quick update on the toolbox.... with some Good News and Bad news The Good news is i had a visit here at Dickys workshop yesterday ( social distancing of course ) from Homer_1209 a forum member here and someone who lives relatively local to me, he came to pick up his tool kit as it was a bit pointless posting when living close by. it was nice to meet someone especially as i have been in isolation for over 2 months with no visitors and it was nice to have a chat about all thing Fruity related, show him the 3D printer in action, and demo the test rig etc.. Many thanks Homer for popping by and for buying the toolkit The Bad News is ... dont do your costings after you have sold your products as things have slowed down a bit now i decided to start printing the Button Toolkits yesterday evening as promised, i also put together a spread sheet to work out manufacturing costs of each item that im selling which worked out super cool as all you have to do is enter the info from the slicer which is final weight of material, length of material and time it takes to print each unit ... the spreadsheet calculates the cost of electricity, overheads, postage, eBay, and papal fees etc to give you the final selling price for Ebay ... so good so far... until you look at the bottom line ... ooops During this process of making the tools most of the costs were calculated in my head and based on rough estimates, what i didn't take into account was the learning curve along the way ... When i started this project, i was buying PLA Filament from amazon and eBay for around £15 per reel delivered ... but as the demand for Filament rose because of everyone 3D printing face masks for the NHS and because most suppliers in China had shut down, the price also rose as well ... after around 2 weeks, the cheapest PLA Filament i could get was £18 from Amazon .... when 3 reels arrived from amazon i was suspicious as it was translucent and did not seem to be the best quality, any way i went with it and started to print the products .... it was awful the prints were stringy and i had to abandon prints half way though so in the end i threw out the crap reels of Filament, put on a reel of White Filament that i originally bought from RS and the results were perfect, i knew that RS had this quality Filament in stock so ordered the white, Yellow and Purple reels for these products and the quality was top notch ... i was very pleased that was until yesterday when i made my spreadsheet, all my original costs were based on £15 Filament from ebay but the RS price for Filament is 29.33 inc delivery and VAT... gulp on the smaller Items like the pullers and insertion tools which use smaller weights of Filament, im still breaking even.. which is good, but on the items like the MPU4 pul tabs and Button Toolkit which use a large amount of Filament per set i was making a huge loss because of the doubling of the material price, it also didn't help when i started printing in a higher resolution with no infill because this makes the items stronger but uses more material but it is beneficial. So unfortunately i have had to increase the price of the MPU4 Pull Tabs to £19.99 and the Button Kit comes out at £32.99 ... hopefully most people who wanted the pull tabs have already bought them and the Button kit is a custom made to order item that is not mass produced and is of top quality, so that reflects in the price . I just wanted to be upfront and honest with you guys so you don't think i'm a greedy grabbing bar stool ...
