Rob, you've lost your 5v and 12v supplies from the PSU most likely blown fuses assuming the the connections are OK? The thing is if they are blown you'll have to find out why otherwise new fuses will probably go the same way! A shorted tant capacitor is a possibility for the 12v and a bad TVS diode for the 5v but don't take this as gospel as it could be a number of things.1 point

Caps are fine, it is just the plastic top covers which have distorted with time, just straight out the pins into a line to match the plug and as long as you put the plug on the right way round your good to go.1 point

In addition to the above, it may need the 5p board connecting too. Again, i'm rusty as it's been such a long time. It not being connected could have issues. I'm not 100% sure how these worked with the software.1 point

Ok so been looking through this thread again in case I missed something. Your coin mech is the wrong type. It's for an AWP as states tokens on it. When I worked at Bell Fruit I remember theme being different. The one you have is meant to work in line with a electronic DCE as these were fitted in AWP's. Different harness too. I would try a coin mech that's NOT on an 8 way seperator. The 8 way seperators was a different beast. I'm sorry, I just ASSUMED it was the normal club cops and not NOT the deluxe. Do you have any other coin acceptors?1 point

Those black fittings were an attempt to prevent anti strim fraud as the S1 was very easy to fiddle with thread attached to coins plus any odd coins getting through the coin gate would be thrown out the back and why todays smaller coins are doing the same. If you can get hold of any original metal back sections with coin switches for S1 mechs (They all the same) I would replace them.1 point

Hi, I'm so sorry it's taken almost 4 years to reply! Lots of personal problems, and a major house move that took 3 years! Anyway, I hope you & your family are well during this Coronavirus pandemic, and more active than I've been on the fruit emu scene. Bullet-tooth-tony, well I met him via a fruit machine purchase on eBay, and went to pick up at his lockup in Luton. Dodgy part of town, but full of interesting machines, next to the Lucky 7 tattoo parlour or barbers? I think, who had his Fish Tales pinball. At the time I was designing & hand building my Tablecade arcade cabinets, he'd seen it and was impressed, and said I should turn it from a hobby to a business. I was approached by someone offering to help do this, but BTT knew him, and warned me this guy just wanted my DOS software setup (pre 60 in 1 / Pii / Pandoras box boards), so I never did. Now eBay's full of retro gaming cabinets using pirate (still Mame based) jamma boards. Over the years, I had another couple of fruit machines from him, and at the time I think he was working at T-Mobile, now EE. Sometime later I believe he moved out to the USA, near Vegas I think, possibly still with T-Mobile /Verizon? and was still doing some rare machines on eBay, but by then he'd changed ID's I think, and I'd lost touch, and couldn't find him again. Shame, he was a really helpful guy, he even delivered a machine for me once, which I'm sure was a Maygay Donkey Kong. By now, he may well be back in the UK, don't know.1 point
