  2. Hi Guys. Here is a special edition MFME layout for you - from 1981. SIDEWINDER (ACE). This was not an easy redraw, but as we are celebrating 20 years of MFME, it was well worth it! Thanks go to Altharic for the original classic/ROMS Hitthesix for the rare photo. Reg (desertislandfruits.com) for testing. Riche100 for the enclosed original Sidewinder manual. Wizard for making fruit machine emulation possible! I hope you give this a good thrashing, especially if you have never played it before, as this game was truly iconic and ahead of it's time! Layout: SIDEWINDER -ACE -V1.1.zip

  3. No routing plug like MPU machines, these mechs are purely mechanical, the coin gate the coin passes through once inserted in slot is adjusted to the size of the coin it has to accept. after passing the through the coin gate the coin drops into the back section. that V shaped piece above the red arrow is a thread catcher so if working correctly opens at the top to allow the coin through and closes behind once the coin has passed which stops the coin being pulled back on a thread. by stopping the coin the thread will just pull away from the coin and it drops. there is another coin size plate inside the base of the back section and that makes sure the coin is centred over the coin switch. the coin hits the switch arm as it drops through and the switch activates the machines credit.
