Lots of dust, dodgy paint and blown bulbs. Seems like they are all the same there will be faults now but once it’s running it’s 80% there. Coin mechs etc could be an issue. Will have to see over weekend. Watch this space

Well after a few days of work / life chaos fresh Louie fixed board installed and Rifas had a good smoke...... until the weekend it’s running. Next for more cleaning now paint sorted and bulb fixes.

If you pull the plug from the mps board then that will also prove if cable or something plugged into cable good luck. Feel bad mine isn’t that bad.... new board and it fired, and Louie will no doubt fix the dead one but that’s something him and Bob are the experts at. I can’t fix boards......

Got to be a short? Surely. Can’t be anything else or one of the boards would fire up. if it was me now I would take all the bulbs out, disconnect the reels and payouts and the coin mechs. Turn on wait for alarm. When you get one put each part in one at a time but bulbs last and ideally new bulbs. that’s got to find it! And won’t take that long to unplug it all then back in one bit at a time. You’ll at least eliminate what it isn’t quickly......

i would be checking the dial on your mps board maybe thats the issue ? set it to the same as the one that came out . also have you tried to flip switch 8 and put the machine in test ?

Nice kb in background.ive done seven now.The guy that invented these was ingenious.one motor drives everything like scanning,selecting,playing.

So now all 80 pins cleaned and re installed with 2 o rings on each for correct spacing.everything so far now re assembled in cabinet.ive also repainted inside cab.Rear fuse holder was damaged so fitted one I removed from something years ago and fits a treat.They are hard work but worth it.Now to start work on the carriage.Then final set up and fill it with records.
