  1. Well it took more than the next day to crack it and quite a bit of head scratching. The solution was simple though and if I hadn't been through the hoops with this one I probably would have got it straight away. Anyway, after all the work it took to get it to run the diags it wouldn't boot to game software. It was when I had a light bulb moment whilst thinking what's the difference between the diag ROM cart and the Game one. Well of course it's got three ROMs for starters whereas the diags only have the one! A quick check on the enable pins (20) showed a good waveform on ROM1 as did ROM2, ROM3 however the board went bananas when I touched the logic probe on the pin. It was floating in the breeze!! Tracing this track along the board, which is no easy task, it passes just below the battery. You're all probably way ahead of me now but of course the track was corroded although I didn't spot it when I did a look over with the microscope. A quick link wire in between two vias and it burst into life. What a relief, I thought this one was going to be the death of me!

  8. Hi all, Here is a game called Roll Up running on Ace's System 1 tech. Machine was released in the early 90's and was a conversion kit made by PCP. Used to play this machine a bit back in the day and have done the layout from memory as I don't think a pic is available for this one. Plays quite well with lots of feature entries etc but rarely hits the jackpot! Thanks also to Hit The Six for help and feedback. Enjoy! Roll Up.zip
