  1. My first release in the v20 era is another cracking old MMM based tech machine from Maygay. I had some photos sent to me by @sulzerned, I decided to start a redraw to the point that the only original art on the DX is the yellow & white star pattern on the rear of the top glass, everything else is redrawn. Massive thanks to @sulzerned for the pics they were an invaluable resource to use as a template. Thanks also to @hitthesixfor his classic that I used as a base and to @evo1 for testing. Finally thanks to @Wizard for his continue support and updates to MFME. v20 had a massive amount of updates, the major change that I could do with this layout in particular is animated buttons. ****************************************** Wild Hold DX ****************************************** Released - 8th July 2020 Author - Dave Pook Manufacturer - Maygay Stake - 10p Jackpot - £2 ****************************************** Shortcuts... 0 - Enter 50p 9 - Enter 20p 8 - Enter 20p Token 7 - Enter 10p `/C - Cancel/Collect N/U - Nudge Up 1 - Hold/Nudge 1 2 - Hold/Nudge 2 3 - Hold/Nudge 3 R - Respin Q - Wild Hold A - Wild Reel Z - Respin Space/G - Start/Gamble ****************************************** Thanks to.. hitthesix - Classic Sulzerned - Photos evo1 - Testing Wizard - MFME ******************************************

  5. Here is my rip from the machine. Link3_P1.zip Rom 1 has a different CRC32, so hope the different rom you provided repeats on the super £. Waiting on a few transistors as there is a fault on the reel deck so won't know until it's sorted.

Keys as per norm/classic- G is nudge up btw. Known issues: These are the £3 roms, but set at £2. 11. It's just a few manuals for Astra machines, nothing too old or exciting but they might help someone None of the other FME sites have a manuals section so I was going to put them here.

  20. This is the royal exchange before and after now running all new coins just needs tongue changing/modifing on the 50p payout so it pays out 2x50p not 3 as old 50ps were very thick that's my next job but apart from that it plays perfect And many thanks to phil1974 for the perfect mpu main board as the original was dead 😊 IMG_0632.MOV

  24. After checking up I have not found any advertisements or pictures of it's release but, Not just this machine but any from DJE could be rare on the ground now. DJE Engineering were a small rebuild company but did have the help of Dransfield as a distributor of their kits and machines in the early 90s. The bad bit is Barcrest seemed to be after them from the start which finished in the high court in 1990 where Barcrest were granted an injunction against DJE from selling, leasing,or distributing machines containing Barcrest software. Apparently when Barcrest released Cloud 9, DJE also released their machine called Silver Lining. Barcrest heard rumors that DJE were producing Silver Lining and eventually obtained a sample of the program. The sample program was found to be virtually identical to Cloud 9, DJE had also released a machine called Bolt From The Blue which program was also found to be identical. It appears even before this injunction, DJE were already subject to an earlier action brought by Barcrest concerning the supply of infringing conversion kits. It did not end there as soon after Maygay were also expressed an interested in DJE conversions content.

  26. OK, I know I said this wasnt going to happen but certain developments have made me reconsider. This has taken many MANY hours of my time and work, I'm absolutely sure you will be very pleased with the end result I have managed to achieve here. I cant go into detail as to why things have changed regarding this, but I would like to get it out as is now, with a fix definitely being done when the new emu comes out to support it. This means that the 7 segs do not work at all sadly, but I dont think it will completely ruin the experience, itll hinder it a bit but I have done my best to make sure that everything else was done at least twice before letting this one go out. As you may know, I have developed a complete new way of lamping for this release, and I am pretty pleased with it (ok Ill be honest I love it) but that's my opinion and I suspect that it won't be everyone's cup of tea. That's cool, but please, at least give it a look and a try because alot of Liams time, money and efforts have gone into bringing this incredibly generous donation to us and I would appreciate it if you'd at least give it a few hour's play to try and justify what has gone into this. The segs will make it a bit tricky at first, but it soon becomes second nature (I've actually played machines with segs like this before didnt stop me ) The shortcuts and tips on how the machine works and certain bizarre things it does are all included in the readme, please make sure to take the time to read it properly to avoid any confusion. My heartfelt thanks go out to Liam, the guy is truly selfless and I cannot state how much I really appreciate all his help and kindness bringing this game to us. Shiny - Beta testing and telling me what I already knew looked crap, just giving the right ammount of prods and pokes until I got it right. Retrofruit - Much of the same, this layout would not be as special as it is without these guys. Dialtone - for being blatant and telling me the original round of lamps looked shit, making me get off my arse and totally relamp it all twice before we settled for what you have now. Pete - helping out in every way he could, and by making a 1024 version (coming soon I think?!?) so that no-one has to go without. That's about it really, enjoy this wonderful little machine from days past Andy http://jtutton.home.comcast.net/BANKER1280.zip If this link no longer works I will have probably uploaded it to the meccas download area by then

  27. Hey all. It's my pleasure to announce the release of this totally redrawn DX of the mid-80s era MPU3 machine On-Line. It's a 2p play with a whopping £1.50 jackpot - go steady, guys I'll admit it's not the most exciting machine in the world - though you do get a Super Series and the chance to alter the prizes that you're gambling for [and still, surprisingly, win the gamble]. This DX is *totally* redrawn from scratch using original photos from m_lynch. All the glass graphics are by myself, while the cabinet it's housed in was provided by mjj and as required. Everything you see here is the product of someone fiddling with Photoshop It's only my first DX, so be gentle I'm taking a bit of a break now (as redraws take a long time and a lot of effort), but I'll be back! Thanks go to: Pandy for the idea, *loads* of DXing help and bit of LED madness, pete_w for his classic, DialTone for the emulator and help with DXing, m_lynch for the original photos,, mjj for his fantastic PCP cabinet and Photoshop tips, and Quattrohead for introducing me to the Mecca in the first place. Also a general thanks to everyone who's posted during the WIP thread with encouragement - much appreciated, all! Enough of me, anyway... here's a screenie, and a download link... http://www.shinypixel.co.uk/files/fme/OnlineDX1024.zip - [it's 1.8MB in size]
