  1. It is always a worry with these chips. So far though they have proved to be good for testing which is all I will be using them for. I won't supply these chips due to the amount of fakes about so I always make folks aware of that and they have to source their own. Caveat Emptor and all that stuff.

  4. Hey all Hope you're all OK and dodging this wonderful weather πŸ™‚ I've got my first MPU4 machine Club Climber which is similar to Runway Trail which I'm over the moon about, but as you will see from the video has an odd fault. I'm assuming it's board realated, but want to throw it out to you guys of you've ever had the same? The machine came with a broken cherry swicth which was replaced and the wiring correct thanks to Sulzerneds kindly sending me some pics. The battery did have rot, so taken out board cleaned and flywired a new battery. I'm sure it's some fault possibly relating to that, or something I may of missed. When the machine is turned on I get the message of the door being open (when they are both locked shut), open the door tap the test switch giving 20 credits, this works but automatically plays with no buttons touched. None of the buttons are gunked up and are all fine and not stuck, the plays are OK until you get a win or skill stop question mark, the machine then just does nothing. Really odd?! If any of you guys have any idea or suggestions it would be really appreciated, as its a bit of a head scratcher this one πŸ™‚ Thanks all in advance πŸ‘ 20200827_191516.mp4

  5. Cheers matey hope so too, I love this machine (as its similar to Runway Trail) which equally bombards you with insane sounds!!! So super eager to get this up and running. This is the machine I was on about in my other message, this fell onto its back πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈπŸ™ˆ minor lamp mask issues which have been double sided foamed back to the glass πŸ™‚ Will do a video on YouTube when it's back up ans running again πŸ™‚πŸ‘ cheers for the message πŸ™‚

  7. I thought this rang a bell somewhere. I'm not letting this go at the moment as its being used for an ongoing research project along with some other CHR chips. This was from that Northampton raid

  9. boards seem to be stored over the years with no respect to them, they get bashed, scraped and in some cases people like to move components too and fro until there leads break and the component falls off! chips blown through being put in the wrong way round and pins bent when trying to put in sockets because they don't look properly! then there is ic sockets which suffer and get bent pin holders! all in addition to component failure through age!! it is a wonder boards ever work again!

  10. Hey Dotteddown (It looks like I've put these updates on the wrong thread as one was created for this restoration) whoops!!! So easy to do πŸ™‚ and yeah wheeling them around is just the best! The chunky wood is from Homebase or Wickes (Β£3 and casters off ebay about Β£7/8 for set of 4), chop the wood to size and away you go πŸ™‚ πŸ‘ on this one it had to be drilled through into the machine for stability, but its solid and around Β£10/11ish cheap to do, which is nice when we all initially pay hugely for the machines πŸ™‚ Worth doing for sure, and quick. Cheers for the message πŸ‘
