There is an MPU3 Alpha diagram in the downloads section which I believe is the same as the early MPU4's, not sure about the later type though. I think they all use the Rockwell 10937 chip. There is an OKI version as well. I did do a write up on this some time back on the forum.1 point

Tantalum bead capacitor. Make sure you fit the new one with the same polarity. Tants are buggers for failing short-circuit and going off like bombs.1 point
