Hi, Just curious when you say fizzle pop as in the lampboard and reel board really went fizzle pop? The reality of epoch is it's difficult if you just like to tinker and expect it to work flawlessly. Its a decent tech but you have to do your research. As hobbies go if you buy some decent boards off people and have two of each board +3 psus it's not mega expensive. You can fault find an epoch machine in no time at all by carefully swapping out parts. It's actually piece of piss if you go about it like that. The hole is where one thing is broken and people keep trying everything else because they don't believe something that "looks ok" is faulty. The key with Epoch is understanding it's basically all one board all linked together via the serial link. If one board goes down the whole system does. The serial connection and nature of all Epoch boards makes it susceptible and vulnerable to pissing about. Don't unplug anything while it's running or you'll give yourself a nightmare. Don't persevere with battery damaged boards and ask people to test your gear one board at a time to help you establish what's running. I've had so much fun with broken epoch machines so don't be put off just understand what your trying to do 😎

The game did indeed go to primary test. We made about 25 from memory. The only one that might still survive is the one we gave to the Red Dwarf people at the convention as part of the licence deal.
