  3. Wash it down IPA rubbing alcohol or leave it submerged in a container with a lid for an hour. Leave to dry for ages afterwards. Try and keep earthed handling it (risk of static)

  4. Most likely some battery damage around or the switches. It's better that they're off than on... when they misread as on it starts trying to find imaginary note acceptors. That board will need the battery Rot neutralizing or it won't last for ever sadly. It could also be why it's not retaining the memory. There's probably no link between + on the battery and r13. Hope that helps

  6. The tube sensors look the same but switch the opposite way round. Taking the sensors off makes it think the tube is empty and removes the sensor as causing the fault, so do that. Your open circuit is a lamp not a switch, switch test will beep on each switch activation. I have Stop the Clock too, here in the USA 😎

  10. Did it 're initialize when you opened the top door? If it did and you're not getting credits in demo when you pressed start with dip 14 on you will have to put it in test mode and see what the dips are doing. Press the function button on the main board hold it in and press the test button near the hopper. (Not the hopper topped up one.) Scroll through the tests to the dip switch test enter that and take a pic of what comes up on the display.

  11. Joe make sure either sensor is a proper barcrest sensor and not a jpm one .jpm ones won't work properly in barcrest machines and vice versa . Have you pulled any terminal s off any switch in the machine ?the hold staying on is a faulty switch or a wiring issue .maybe try another switch on the hold button concerned and also the cancel button. Any wired terminals fitted incorrectly will chuck up some odd faults like these

  12. If you do manage to download a sys 80 manual then it does say which wire goes each pin .pin 22 will be in the center of the plug and the numbering is staggered ie 1 top 2 bottom etc

  13. Finished another one! This time it's a DX for an Electrocoin true classic, Super BAR-X. One of the UK's most popular fruit machines from back then. Set to £4.80/20p/92% Which means tons, upon tons of regular wins which makes it, in my opinion, the best stake/prize ratio ever done for a BAR-X machine. Use MFME6.1 to play. Credits go out to the following people: BarXQueen: For the classic. Wizard: For adding Lo-tech Electrocoin emulation to MFME. Shortcuts for this, are: Hold/Nudge Down 1 - 1 Hold/Nudge Down 2 - 2 Hold/Nudge Down 3 - 3 Cancel Hold - ` Collect Bank - C Auto Start - A Start - Space £1 Insert - 0 20p Token - 9 Have fun!
