Work has started on making a template for the sides. I have decided to make the new cab out of 22mm chipboard flooring. ยฃ13.00 a sheet at b&q. The good thing being I can get all the insides cut to a standard width and all the same from b&q. the pics show that I had to guess the correct height so it maybe slightly out. I hope this is of interest to someone.2 points

I have recently purchased a very sick special reserve machine. I had never seen one before so it was not bought for memories of my missed spent youth. I felt like it could be a good project to do so I thought I would post stages of work over the next few weeks/ months. I was hoping to get some help and advise if I get stuck. Some parts are missing mainly the display card in the top glass and the game card. first question is can anyone help on either of the missing parts? I will buy them, but I guess they are hard to find. I donโt often post on the chat as I am not an expert on these machines but I know a couple of you have helped me out in the past. the project is not to make money just to add to my small collection. I will try and post a few pictures of the way it looked when I got it. the plan is to make a new cab from what I have left from the old one. I reckon itโs at least 3โ shorter than it started I hope someone can help with the two parts to start with.1 point

Well it's been almost 10 months since the last post on these boards and although a couple have been through the workshop sice there's not been anything of merit to post. You may have seen the MPU1 tech manual that I posted and here is some extra info ie the reel tester box. Here's the diagram for the board.1 point

If it helps Chris Pin 11 on Plug 3 on both EWS and NDU is the wire to the 10p Token triac ๐ Just for reference Pin 9 on Plug 3 is the 10p Triac so if push came to shove you could potentially run a wire direct cheers Stef1 point

Cornucopia, A private operator conversion on what started out as one of Bell Fruits 6 nudge games, as it has no 5p payout tube making it one of the later games possibly Can Can , The conversion has ramped up the win lines so expect little return in holds and nudges to compensate what will be a high % payout plus with it still on original 5p play. The reels still have the old BF reel bands which to say are well foxed is an understatement. Very dirty condition but nothing that can't be cleaned up to collect an unusual game.1 point

WOW. Thats one hell of a project. Wish I had both the time and the patience to do something like this. The only project I have in the pipeline is putting the blinking christmas icicle lights up on the outside guttering for her indoors... A question... I loaded up the emulated version of Special Reserve DELUXE. The one in your project looks totally identical but doesn't have the DELUXE graphic. I was under the impression that the DELUXE version was the ยฃ4 Jackpot and the 'none deluxe' was ยฃ3 Jackpot. Sp what IS the difference?1 point

Good luck on the rebuild, it is a real challenge! I probably have got a spare mps game card, although it will need the roms sorting, thatโs way above my ability ๐๐ let me know if you would like one. Keep us posted on the progress ๐๐1 point

The coin insert badge (on the 'reserved' flap) says 5p or 5np. BUT, on the pre-'71 machines, the description on the belly glass (above the word 'MAXI' in your pic) reads "1 play for 1/- or 5p". THIS is the machine I would be looking for.1 point
