  2. Latest update pictures of the cab. well the cab has caster wheels on the bottom. Both sides are covered. Most importantly it did not fall to bits when I moved it around. started putting t section on just to try and it looks well. I will continue tomorrow night all being well.

  3. Most cabinet makers use 6 or 8mm dowel joints.wood glue and clamp.some use biscuit joints.some also add L brackets screwed in at main support,frame points.guess it's what works for you

  5. I'm well into woodwork and restored and made many cabs,inc a lot of bespoke stuff.This is stunning mate,really really gorgeous job.i can see the bloody hard work and thought that's gone In to it.Very well done and merry xmas,I think you deserve a mince pie.fuck me am I impressed.

  14. I have already have offers of parts that I need and any help/ advise. This is why this site is so good for guys like me. Without everyone’s help I would be stuffed. it nice guys help out and even nicer they are not after making money when I would buy the parts. (slotto) 😊

  16. I agree, I used to have a similar set. So far as the bulb voltage, @Warlord you might get a clue from the number of bulbs on each circuit. For example 16 bulbs at 1.5V makes 24V. As the supply is ac I would expect the bulbs to be running ac too but that's by no means certain. We've no idea what the control box is doing other than guessing it's doing it the cheapest way possible. Another approach would be to feed one bulb with a low variable voltage and adjust it so that it looks a reasonable brightness and then measure that voltage. The now 'out of fashion' push in bulbs are getting harder to find and are going up in price so the other option is to replace the whole set with an LED version. Good luck.
