Picked up another old Black Box yesterday. An original machine that i had been after for over 8 years. Long story to do with MDS Mike. Anyway i finally got my hands on it yesterday. Its basically a Bell-Fruit version of Supa Stepper more or less. Anyway im pleased to get hold of this. And hopefully will be working in the next few days π2 points

Well this post is my 100th it has taken 8 years. I am glad to say the special reserve project is complete with the only bits required are display lamps. Which I have been offered some so hopefully next week they may arrive. I will post a video of the machine running tomorrow. just two pics today front and back. I would like to install the jpm sticker back inside. Does anyone have these? The only other thing is I have cut The old one out so could fix it in. hope you enjoyed the project considering I was going to refurbish my double up but when I bout a spare cab this old machine was rotting away so decided to buy it for Β£180. it has cost me about Β£150 to make and repairs. This does exclude the powder coating I got this done for free. the double up is the next one but I am hoping to just make the sides.2 points

Thanks, yours also looks great I had a special reserve a long time ago, great game, This JPM cab was only 18mm chipboard and I too used flooring panels I found they had a smooth side (top side) than the other side. Like I said it looked bumpy under a test piece of vinyl so I coated it with scrubbale emulsion paint ( 3 coats) then wet sanded it smooth, It looks really good. If I ever done it again I would use MDF for sure. When I get the cash door done and the other bits (probably spring time) I will post some pics1 point

Thanks I was watching your restore too, mine is not perfect I had trouble closing the gaps with those thick dowels! It's all back together and working but I need to remove the bezel and re do it as the paint finish is not good enough, also have new t-moulding to fit Cheers Ronnie1 point

Next up is another global from me this time in the form of Bat Outta Hell set on ΓΒ£25/25p 86% as with a fair few globals of this era it has a good soundtrack including meat loaf's famous track I give thanks to Ady for which he sent me this flyer amongst others a while back. to reg for some lamp identifcation help The Global Button is missing from the flyer and not sure if it even does anything but it is added where the global logo is above the reels The reel bands are homemade so may not be the clearest but are near accurate. Not sure how the tips of the tridents are lit so lit em as standard and red Shortcuts are as standard, hope everything plays as it should! Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!! layout updated thaks to wearecity for spotting the lamping errors Bat Outta Hell ΓΒ£25 Dx v2.zip1 point

It went fairly well! Apart from a few bits where the router bit sunk in a bit deeper due to the poor template being the old side, Also when I was cutting the back I never had it clamped tight enough so it took a 25cm stretch about 4mm deeper than it should have! So spent ages filling and sanding those bits, but I'm now happy with that side. Cutting the other side should be better as I have the new cut side to use as template.1 point
