  4. Good evening 🙂 With another lockdown weekend approaching, what better way to spend it than by banging a few quid through a nice 2p PCP game from the late 80s? There's a slight backstory to this layout. There was a resources group-buy over 13 years back for this machine kindly organised by @VINNY130172 which myself and a few good people chipped in for. Vinny fixed it back up so it was working but unfortunately due to storage issues he had to move the machine on, so it ended up with me. It stayed in my garage getting played very infrequently for years and it was a shame having it gathering dust. Every time I went into the garage it was sat there looking at me and the guilt became a bit too much. Luckily there was @stevelancett on the forum who I knew would look after it, so he came down one day to pick it up, and now it's in a nice warm container surrounded by friends 😃 So this DX layout has been in the pipeline for 13 years or so and for me it's been a labour of love over the last few months during lockdown to do one of my favourite games justice. I hope you all enjoy it - and please, gamble responsibly 😉 Thanks to all those who helped chip in for the group buy all those years ago, and especially thanks to the late Wizard for making this layout and so much more possible 🙂 Shortcuts in layout notes - use MFME 20.1 - looks best in portrait 👍 Cheers! 5. Traditional fruit machines work on compensators. Basically a compensator is a pot that stores money. At certain levels money is released and the machine pays out. To make a machine run totally random you would need to set the reel bands up to pay the correct percentage. Long story short if you managed to make a Line Up random using current bands it wouldn't play right or hit the correct RTP. Here's a demo of random bands generated by random. The wins are set up but not 2 of a kind. If you ran this through a million games the RTP would be way off.

  8. Here is a old school 2p £2 jackpot machine by bwb called Fruit swop it`s dad is called Fruit King and mum is called Lucky Lady . This was created from images taken from you tube videos couldn`t find any decent pictures and hasn`t turned out to bad considering my photo shop skills are very basic. Thanks go to the following people @A:E for use of his Lucky lady Cabinet/Reel symbols. @Louie Bee for roms over at Mecca. @stevelancett for his you tube videos of this machine. @Big J for playtest. And last but the most important thank you of all goes to @Wizard for his creation R.I.P 1965-2020 sadly missed Fruit Swop.zip

  9. Can understand why you feel that way, others on here have done stuff and got shafted or people don't want to pay for time and effort. Its a shame when there is so much talent on here and people making so many efforts. Didn't take me long on here to see things being done and people moaning about cost etc. Your work and everyone else's with emulation / glass / reel production is appreciated.

  10. If I don't do these things for others then I don't loose money! I just do these things for my own curiosity, I can already see the pitfalls, I buy (spend out on chips) I take time to program them etc, package them and send them out, the recipient receives it, uses no static protection handling the chip or there card, puts it in there card and it still does not work because there card is faulty, they then moan etc that I have not done the chip right ("bellend from kent" posted on forums etc) ...... No thanks, I can do without all that hassle! Someone one else can do it, after all other things I have done like reproducing PCB's others have now done, so there is hope

  11. You seems to have came across i few bad experiences with people in your time andrew you shouldn't let that put you off future people though 😄 obviously like the man from e service said barcrest no longer make any reel fruit machines and the 5 year after care deals have now ran out its not commercial viable for them to keep a after market service up for the sake of collectors... as for the security chips its going to fall to people like you self who can break code and replicate these chips however if your adamant your not going to do this again then we are stuck....

  19. I have signed. HOWEVER. I don't think that this will make any difference - even assuming that there are 100,000 people in the UK who care enough to sign it - and that they find about it - assuming that they all even have internet access and a full set of fingers anyway.... So, far in the future the CONDEMLABUKIP coalition debate it and decide that it's a thoroughly good idea. Ten more years pass and it makes it onto the statute books. Ebay is by now run by the Axis Of Evil, or the Autobots from Transformers, or Google, or whoever. They still can't readily differentiate between their arses and their elbows. They wouldn't know a pre-decimal coin from a camel. So they continue to randomly remove listings, because that's what they do best. Meanwhile sellers see the opportunity to pass off any old shite they are trying to sell as running on pre-decimal coinage, even if it has Noel Edmond's by now heavily-surgeoned (or possibly embalmed?) visage on the front... It won't work. Sorry.
