  3. It will tell you with the refill key the float of the machine, so one without a note acceptor would normally be Β£125 float and one with a note acceptor would be 250.

  4. Having the right tools is very useful! I am currently working on this plasma drive panel, it just stopped working! Tripping out the shutdown circuit of the tv, measuring around a lot of the tiny smd capacitors are bad!! So just used the metcal tweezers to remove the caps and the metcal iron and braid to clean the pads up, it is now waiting for the new caps to arrive in the morning! pics below, board with caps removed on the left, right is a comparison board which is complete it had quite a few which had changed characteristics! Some low capacitance, some had had esr of over 20 ohms! top row good! Next row, not too bad, they are close to being ok but I don’t think they would last long! And bottom definitely out of tolerance and bad! having the correct tools for the job means no tracks damaged at all!!

  5. Top Cherry, Early 70s electro from Bell Fruit. Random holds and gamble feature offered when the "Top" symbol appears on the first reel win line plus mystery win payouts. 2.5p play and all cash in 10p/5p with the small replayable 6d or 2.5p token payout on all wins. slight glass fade, Cabinet and inside hardware looks in very good condition considering it's now 50 years age. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Top-Cherry-Fruit-Machine/114623941214?hash=item1ab01e8a5e:g:OBUAAOSw5aRf-21l

  6. Oh ok, but cheers for sharing the pics, some lovely arcade videos there! Hopefully all find a good home πŸ™‚ not sure how you held back Phil, think after an hour there I would of had a call from my bank manager asking if all was OK πŸ˜† and no kitchen and living room space!!!!! Cheers again Phil, just seeing that lonely Tuppenny Chance stood there would of been lovely that πŸ™‚

  9. It is a bit of a pain to remove the pump, but if the diaphragm has completely failed it is still available from pace even if your model is 20 years old! Usually in the past someone has used it without the visifilter so then flux can get into the pump and clog the diaphragm, the easiest way then is to connect the suction pipe into a container containing flux removal fluid and the 'blow' pipe also into the fluid, operate the pump so it circles it around in the pump for a bit, then remove the suction pipe from the fluid so it pumps the fluid out, It works great once the fluid is gone! gives it a new lease of life for little effort! as long as the diaphragm is still fine (I also have a thermopic in bits I have bought since but don't have any tips for it)

  13. I've had mine about a couple of years now I reckon. I'm pleased with mine although the pump did pack up on me as one of the rubber diaphrams split. Unfortunately they aren't available as spares!! I managed to modify one from a fish tank pump.
