  1. Right, Rich I'm messaging you the originals in Photoshop and PNG format. The printers will probably want the PNG unless they can open photoshop ones...... If you want to share the art once you've tested to see if they fit with glitter on the back that's your call your spending the money printing them, im happy to give you some time to sort them you've helped me with plenty of free parts in the past. Will await your updates on here, hope this time you can get it spot on At worst now you will need a tiny bit of padding behind the reels not the other way round which isn't fixable. Looks spot on her printed on taped paper!!! in black and white!

  3. Well I feel really sorry for him. I mean considering he still hasn’t even got his first machine working it’s awful seeing him with parts that don’t work. It’s ok Rich. You’ll get a machine working one day mate 😂😂😂😂

  7. Hi chaps, Here's a bit of a blinder, a really good nick LSI chassis. Rarer than hens teeth! Now you maybe thinking where's the RAM, where does the ROM cart go and where's all the support chips? It must all be done with the ZNA129 chip. I can't find any information on this one and even the stuff that RIche has posted doesn't have a schematic which is a shame. You have assume that it would only ever play the one game without re-soldering the chip as it must be programmed at the factory. I'm sure the smarter folks out there will correct me if that's not the case. The beauty with these old boards is there's no battery so no corrosion. I might have a go at drawing out the schematic if I get the time (and enthusiasm). It's certainly a fascinating tech probably one of the first to go digital.

  8. Well it was never going to be a quick job. I’ve a lot of other stuff in my life. The last 2 nights however have been very productive. Thanks to Ron’s excellent tutorials my reel mech is stripped, cleaned and put back together. Miraculously I didn’t have any ‘bits’ left after the rebuild

  9. Very nice dicky and thanks for taking the time to find out a little of the background .the machine from which this board came from was called fareplay.im guessing it was released in 1977 .here are few pictures of it and the deck .im told the decks were known as sling shot types .if any more pictures are required I will be quite happy to supply them

  10. Hi guys ... I had a look for the ZNA129 and it does not seem to exist ... the chip has a date code of 18th week of 1976 .. and checking Ferranti Wiki page it shows the first commercial CPU was released in mid 70s and cost £57 each chip for a minimum of 100 units which would have been way too much for Barcrest in those days. here's an excerpt from the wiki F100-L[edit] The introduction of the first microprocessors in the early 1970s cut into Ferranti's military computing business. While these early designs were not competitive in performance terms, their price/performance ratio was orders of magnitude better than Ferranti's discrete designs, in spite of several rounds of cost-reduction in the MicroNor line in the late 1960s. Convinced that the microprocessor represented a strategic change in military applications, in 1974 the UK Ministry of Defence agreed to sponsor an effort by Ferranti to produce a military-grade microprocessor design using the CDI process, whose high power-handling allowed them to operate in electrically noisy environments.[2] The Lack of Ram, Rom, and a Crystal makes me believe that this was not a cpu but a "special" discrete device as it also has no address lines or data lines that are are visible on the top of the pcb, like the MPU1 the reels i think wouild be stopped by solinoids .. and there was no control of the reels position it was purely based on the maths of the reel symbols per reel and i would guess the reels had photo sensors the went back to the sockets on the LSI unit, Im guessing this device was just a large programable array of gates and took inputs and timers into the device the drove outputs based on the input states controlled by the 4000 series gates around it etc all a bit of a guess without seeing the underside of the PCB, basically i think it acted like a solid state cam unit that replaced the motor driven ones found in earlier electromechanical machines as Ferranti and Barcrest were both based in Lancashire maybe that was part of the connection and maybe some of the new Barcrest techs were ex Ferranti guys as Ferranti had just closed some of their divisions in the area at the time anyway its a very nice find and part of a great coin op history all the best Dicky EDIT: just seen your post Bob ... i think we are thinking the same buddy

  17. Hi all, I have a BellFruit board approx 140mm x 100mm , 31-489-002 ISS1 across the top , LCT9312 written in top left corner. It has a chip on it marked Round Town. It appears in good order and will post free to anyone that it would be of use to. Just a waste if thrown away. Let me know Andy.

  18. Ive now got a 111 mech on new coins and coupled it up with a 125 sorter that came with my machine so i think its as it should be. I now need help with what colour wires go where on the strip plug that fits directly in the sorter. Think ive got most of them in the correct place and what i can remember before i dismantled the dodgy wiring , one red wire was cut back and another was wrapped round the green wire quite badly. I have two purple wires but on my reel money their is just one so i do not know which goes where or what the other does. I didn't switch the machine on when it arrived as it was in a sorry state and didn't want the living room full of magic smoke. If some kind person could help i do not mind sorting out payment for the time spent. Regards, Andy.

  19. looking good now if you take the decal and change all the numbers to white and everything else to black print that for the back of the decal to form the light mask

  20. You see it all the time now especially on Fb... People willing to throw loads of cash at machines to relive their youth.... then its boredom with it after a couple of days or it goes wrong and the value is less than half of what they paid when they try and move it on. Seen it all happen in classic cars...and with F1se bikes... once the dealers are involved its normally game over buying stuff for geniune collectors. Hopefully prices will comeback to a sensible level... £2500 for a Line Up on Fb last week.. fully workshopped it said.. it was covered in a wet look back to black sheen... It had a better wet look than Michael Jacksons hair do's... 🤣🤣.. not for me they can keep them..😎😎

  21. A fruity will only ever be worth as much as someone is prepared to pay. Whilst people are willing to pay silly money then the value will stay high. Remove the demand aspect and they’ll drop. I’d rather shit in my hand and clap than pay £2k for a machine. I’ve got some cracking EM’s in my collection but I’ve never spent more than £200 on one. That said, I’m learning to fly and that’s £200 per hour. I’ll skip 6 or 7 lessons and buy an EWS 😄
