Dave has kindly sent me a short video clip of my VFS Son of Kong which he picked up for me 2 weeks ago. It's currently at Reelfruits This will be with me very soon. Massive thanks to Dave for arranging everything and of course the hassle and cost of van hire and driving down to Dartford. Unfortunately Ian couldn't pick it up due to work commitments of the owners. Very excited about this one. VID-20210410-WA0002.mp44 points

It might have been the one but paid over the odds for it, but it’s not about me making money on it but a sentimental thing for me to keep for now, just stripped it down and having the frames re powder coated new locks re lamped and sort the coin mech out2 points

It's a JPM, they used the Bars on a few games, this Speculator club electro was another example..1 point

Had a lot of help from @Bungle and he found the images, they were not great and there was some redrawing to do but we thought the gold cab would be something a little different besides this is dedicated to one person as stated above and of course everyone to enjoy.1 point

Ha,notice in the video, this used to be a Cash or Nudge Which so happens to be one of my grail machines. It's not getting converted though as I have a Wild Hold that is very similar,so close enough I'd say 😊 Just love 10p token machines lol1 point

Tbf,I was looking on an all day drive to Dartford and back. Car hire costs, fuel and the hassle of a long day inbetween work. So yeh, massive respect for his offer of help. His Maidstone arcade isn't too far away as well. Dave is a top fella, and a good friend to me. He didn't have to offer, but that's what friends do from time to time. Just ordered some T Cut and varnish to get this cleaned up. Let's just hope it's an easy board swap fix.1 point

Wow Chris the inside is perfect! What a tidy machine in great condition, I bet you're excited to get it! Fair play to Dave for getting for you too! Look forward to seeing this up and running 🙂👍1 point

I've seen those bars before on an EM but can't put my finger on it.1 point

Here’s a few minutes of play. It works pretty much as it should although I’m going to strip it down when I’ve finished the ten up. It’s also been switched to new 10p’s and the 50p disconnected. I shall remedy that as a matter of urgency. Nice addition to the collection though. I now have more EM’s than MPU’s. IMG_1098.MOV1 point

Thanks Ron, Where the original has a white label "ALL WINS ABOVE 20P PAID IN TOKENS", mine has a pale yellow one "all wins paid in cash", all lower case, no capitals. The wording is fine; just the artwork to correct. It looks to be applied from the back. Could be an easy fix.1 point

Love it mate but that gamble looks like a real bugger. Use to love those buttons like on Fiesta, so many people use to hit them like whack a mole.1 point

To get it into test, have all doors open, when it says read meters, press cancel, press and hold the switch near the bottom then press the test switch at the same time to get it into test. What coin mech is it? Cash flow 126, SR5?1 point

Nice when you know you've had the same thing with other board s so not having to start from scratch with a new fault.1 point

Had another board in with odd symptoms. With the diags running it appeared to be trying to run tests that weren't selected or just alarming and re-setting? It wasn't always the same though? Anyway, when I managed to get it into a switch test I could see that switches 01, 06 and 07 were shown as on but would be intermittent. Hmm, seen something similar to this before and yep it was the same thing. SIL5 470R resistor network had a crack in it although you couldn't see it in situ. On removal it fell apart! Seen this about 3 times now, same component, same place? Not sure why it's always this one but it must be something to do with how it's inserted in the factory as it's not under any electrical stress at all.1 point

So then, I re sized all these today. All matches up. No choice now but to send them off to print and check.... Heres a proof, looks like ive nailed it. Hope so!1 point

The good thing is with a genuine collector getting it like yourself, after its all up and running you won't be trying to punt it out for £2.5k, it will sit within your collection. You getting this over dealers who are screwing this game all together is a victory for the true enthusiasts & collectors...😎😎1 point
