Hi all. Got this today. Seems to come out of reset but don't do anything. I pulled the ROMs and still seemed to come out of reset :). No idea how that's working. So dumped the ROMs, they do work in the emu but doing weird things like resetting when you put credit in. Not sure if they are corrupt. I joined them together in a hex editor so not sure if I have done it wrong. Go_For_Gold__Ace_ - Copy.zip Here's the layout working, the files for Cash Point are in the zip too. If anyone can get them working properly that would be amazing. I'm thinking it may be a setting. The reels seem off set. Cheers John2 points

Took the power inlet all apart, then after use of rust remover, a junior hack saw, some white paint and a new socket we're sorted out and earthed. Nice removable kettle-style lead and socket with an illuminated power switch.2 points

I picked up a 1976 AFD "The Gambler" machine from Ebay. Kind of working. Kind of not. I figured I'd post a thread here on getting it fixed up and running, I know this kind of information is useful to me when others post so hopefully returning the favour and someone else finds this interesting or useful. I've fixed up some Bally EM machines in the past, but have been looking to do something from the UK from the 70s. The Ebay listing states the machine is all working, but only included one photo. Wasn't convinced it would all be working, but figured I'd be able to fix it up anyway. This is the picture from Ebay1 point

Very nice machine John. Well done for getting this and thank you for uploading the roms. This looks quite a rare Ace system1. I remember seeing loads of Pound stretchers but don't remember seeing this one at all. I agree with Graham Ace system ones are lovely machines. Neat cabinet, nice artwork, good gameplay and interesting sounds but not too loud and in your face. Lovely that John looking forward to following your progress with it.1 point

New connector on reel 3 fixed that problem, it spins now. The reel 1 ticking a few extra notches is something to do with the gamble unit running when it shouldn't. I found a connection to the first switch on that unit that causes it to run when you wiggle it, tried a new connector but no fix so I suspect the switch might be broken. Trying to work out how to get at it when I realised that the whole unit with the motor and relays on can be removed quite easily. I see cam and switch cleaning in my future1 point

First thing to check is the 5v reg (7905CT) which should have 12v ish on one side and 5v on the other (centre pin is ground). If there's no 12v then you need to check backwards towards the machine. It may come via those diodes (D12-15) and then from the RJ45 connector. If there's no 5v and the reg is getting hot then you have a short on the board somewhere, if it's cold the reg had blown.1 point

I assume the red ones are LED's not lamps and if the display is dead maybe the 5v regulator on the board has blown? It could be a bad caps issue but we'd need to see the top side to make a judgement.1 point

Many thanks for this release Clo06. Really nice looking classic and a game that could play great on this stake prize ratio.1 point

Well, here it is. A 1600 DX for this excellent early Impact machine called Casino Crazy. This has got one of the best sound packages on any fruit machine...ever, plus it plays a blinding game as well. What more could you ask for. This is best played on MFME3.2 Especially if you can't get to the full resolution of 1600x1200. Massive thanks goes out to Guitar for everything. Pictures, reels, lamp coordinates, and for putting up with my nagging. And also thanks to £6 In Tokens, for the cabinet that was used from the Big Bucks flier he had. Shortcuts for this are: Cancel - ` Hold 1 - 1 Hold 2/HI - 2 Hold 3/LO - 3 Collect - C Exchange - E Start - Space Nudges - N Feature Games - F Crazy Spins - S Cash Cash - M £1 Insert - 0 The layout is attached to the thread. Enjoy! Casino Crazy 1600 DX.zip1 point
