  1. I’d rather have a photo of a ctl each way shuffle than a mk2 ews.

  2. these can be done in full mirror finish but the company that does it takes an age to do a prototype, this is why i took another route, they are not mirror like the originals but they are well acceptable, ive done a load of work on this glass stuff & sold one glass, ONE, did it for the love of it really & to prove if you try hard you can achieve anything. sold decent amount of the S80 Programme cards . oh & now you all know im a man of my word, might take a while but we get it done in the end ....

  3. Splendid progress these last two days. The ODDS column lights had nothing left for them to clip into, the heat damage having been so bad. Each strip of three was mounted into a new base cut from acrylic sheet, with correctly-spaced holes made with a punch. These six strips were then fastened to the remains of the original mouldings using the previously-mentioned adhesive tape. As the reels turn, the vertical strips alternate between 'normal' and 'super' odds. The effect is quite distinctive; and familiar. I remember these now, in the clubs. They were played almost continuously, only getting a rest during the bingo. The reel strips being out-of-register was a problem. I didn't want to risk damage, so I took the easy way out and packed the front of the reel deck with a quarter-inch lath. This lifted the front of the reel mech so that the win-line on the glass corresponded to the line on the reels. Solved for now! The cabinet is grimy. Once that is cleaned-up, it's ready for use.

  8. Well this will be the last update but I might do a video but I'm sure you have all seen an EWS in action. It's not perfect by any means! slight white showing at the edges of the t moulding, the new stuff I got was a fraction too narrow! I will black the white bits with a fine brush. Still need to cut the inner cash door but that's about it. Going beside EWS will be chances unlimited in the house!
