Hi there, happy to be back. I was (eventually) the project manager for the SWP Product and that will certainly be mentioned in time, I am trying to be as historically correct as I can.5 points

Next up we Steppa back in time to what some would call the Golden era of fruit machines. A machine so old i was barely tall enough to reach the buttons let alone shove big fat 10p's into it, i was still being weaned on the 2p pushers when this came out. The year was 1981 the year of the Cold winter (-28oC) and this classic Golden Steppa, requested by cashbox1 of which he's requested me do Superline/£4 next and maybe Silver Ghost if images arise! Thanks goto- Superbank for the roms and hi quality images he uploaded back in 2008, Compost Corner aka Zoltar for the classic used for lamping positions (what little there are lol) And to Ploggy for the donated cab from top up of which i re-coloured gold'ish. And to the contributor of the reel symbols probs one of the above. Unfortunately there is no sounds to this layout still, the reason they're not emulatable in the current versions of mfme Shortcuts are- Start = spacebar Auto start = A Nudges = 1,2,3 Nudge Up = ` Coins in- 50p's = 0 New 20p's = 9 Old Big 10p's =8 Tokens = T. Plays in Mfme's 2.0-3.2 Enjoy and Happy Gaming!!!!! now includes sound thanks to Liam download the mfme5 version play it in mfme5 Golden Steppa(System80) Mfme5 1024Dx.zip Golden Steppa(System80) Dx v2.zip1 point

Ah nice one mate No rush for now, as it's a long way off since it'll be quite a time before I get this project to that state I'll just patch requests as they come in for now, if I can with whatever it can currently patch - and then keep chipping away an hour here and there, at the future stuff like batch processing all the Roms that exist for each machine1 point

I can patch it so it doesn't need Chr chip to run... but ...then we do need the BWB lamp column of the Chr working out again for BWB if someone wanted to use it in a real machine - as there's no BWB Viva Las Vegas MFME layout to copy it from, only the 8x Barcrest lamp values which are wrong for the BWB rom. As you know with making your many layouts over the years ... they can be trial-and-errored to get the right values - it's a bit of a time-consuming jobby though! So the real machine with this BWB ROM would look like this at present: No Chr chip required for booting... but the correct BWB values need finding out to go in the custom lamp routine that 'emulates' the effect of the Chr chip on the CPU register. Here's the patched ROM with wrong lamp table set up if anyone is interested for research purposes - it's of no real use though! vv_10_k_.3_3_Viva Las Vegas BWB 10p £6 jackpot from JJ_PATCHED.zip1 point

The 128k roms aren’t doable yet. I think John has limited time to look into this project. Wait and see if he gets time I guess. J1 point

Hard drives usually present problems reading or writing if they're failing. If your drive is not running at all I'd check that it's receiving power. For a general check to see if it's working I'd connect it to another PC. Also worth looking at my suggestion in this thread: Hope you get it sorted, good luck.1 point

Cheers,I'm not sure.my quiz machine worked one minute but then not load.it seems the hard drive is not running.1 point

I was there through all this. Whitbread buying the company was the death knell for us. They ran the business into the ground and it was later purchased by the then cfo. Who later sold it to Sega.1 point
