  1. Yesterday,I thought I'd put my head in the back of my faulty machines to see if I can break them some moreπŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ First up was Bouncer. Troublesome system 80 tech . It wasn't booting, with only 2 LEDs lighting up on the cpu board. Did a bit of swapping around. First the ram chips with no success. Then the cpu chip, still with no success. Then with both lots from my Nudge Shuffle. Unfortunately still no success. So,it's beating me atm as I'm not sure what else to look for. The in out board works fine and tested in NS. On a happier note,I delved into my VFS Noughts n Crosses. Finally managing to get that mpu3 board out. Gawd I struggled having arthritis in my fingers and all. Anyway,on inspection,it had the dreaded blue battery on. Although it looked fairly clean,it has caused some damage to nearby ICs and some tracks. My spares department looked pretty grim with 2 boards, both with faults. One board had a faulty ram,so it was that one I decided to swap bits around. Took the ram off the N&C board and put it onto the donor board. Plugged it all in switched it on and success πŸ€— It booted up fine. The reel stick fault was no longer apparent and she now plays and pays as she should. Here's a video of the jackpot happy machine in laction

  4. Sys80's are notorious for the ribbon connections failing. Sometimes the only solid fix is to use new cables and swap out the 26 way connector on the CPU board.

  10. After some consideration, mostly to everyone that is subscribed to me on yourube,I have decided I will continue to upload onto YT,but will be taking a more relaxed approach since I have my own Facebook group too which will always feature more content. A lot of people commented about the adverts, now being the norm unfortunately and as annoying as they are to me it seemed, most were not that bothered! Anyway, thought I'd share this video. It's Maygay Wild Hold being very happy lol. Hope you enjoy watching. Thanks to everyone here for your continued support.

  11. I ain't closing it down Grah,I will keep it open So people can still watch but won't be uploading anymore. I made a promise that I would never monetize my channel hence you would never see adverts in my videos. They are truly annoying tbh and I didn't ask for them to be put there. Iam not interested in making money as I love our hobby. But I don't expect other companies to profit on what I basically do for free for everyone's enjoyment. I made a promise and I always keep to my word. That's me!

  12. Well, today I took a rail trip out to Worcester to see our friend on here Rob T who kindly invited me to play on his collection. And for the first time in 40 years,I got to play on this absolute beast of a machine. Whilst enjoying Robs collection,I felt that what we all do here to try and preserve the Golden days of playing and remembering the memories each machine holds to us enthusiast, that what we do is not just for our own pleasure but for everyone else that shares our enthusiasm. Not just for doing them up or playing them, even repairing them when things go wrong. I come to the conclusion that it's always worth it. Thanks Massive to Rob T,I had a fantastic day. The hospitality was great, the machines was great. I love what we all do😊 Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks for watching as always

  18. Wow Castle machines were amazing, Coral Island in Blackpool had Revolution and Big Fifty, bout 6 of each, along with a circle of Top The Lots and Top Gears, loads of JPM's such as Moneybelt, Supertrack etc, Barcrests were everywhere, Action Notes, All Cash Advance, but the best, ACE's Poundstrecher, bout ten of them. Must have been about 1989, i remember hitting £34 on Big Fifty, never seen a streak that big, paid in 10p's! cashier wouldnt change it up!!! It was an amazing time where u got a good go for your money, and player skill was rewarded rather than today where there is no skill at all, happy times, still visit Coral Island now, but wasnt a patch on the old days.
