I'm going to do a full check of the wiring at the MNPU3 yeah thats my next plan of attache - I am not sure what those symbols mean but have seen a few different posts with them happening on MPU3 and MPU4 machines - presumably bad data ? Yes they are bloody things lol. Give me MPU4 any day on the serviceability, but MPU3 is very special nevertheless.

A UK supplier has the PIA EF68B21P also known as 68B21, 68B21P in stock currently and has more available to order when they run out of stock. https://www.cricklewoodelectronics.com/68B21.html I have ordered some for my MPU4. They say that they are the Equivalent Fairchild. Hope this helps anyone looking for them like I was

  3. Well seems its the board, swapped MPU3 and fault gone ! I tried a different alpha, new cable and cleaned pins on MPU3 all to no avail. 🥲
