  2. Its been a while since I've posted a thread on here so thought I'd post my latest project which if I'm honest I never thought I'd see happen . About 2.5 years ago I bagged a very dilapidated associated leisure games "lucky nudge " it runs on barcrest mpu1 tech but uses a electro style deck with driver board. I knew when I got it that it was only for spares as it really was the worst cab I've ever seen and also the bottom glass was completely shot having been left in wet damp conditions for many years from what I can gather. Luckily I didn't pay a great deal for it ! I love these AL games that they built in thier own cabs and used thier own fruit symbols too which I remember so well as a kid playing .I also own a big apple which is in fairly good condition.,anyway another mecca member called funfair Wayne built a new mps cab from scratch and what a brilliant job he did too of it .so I decided to chance my luck and asked him if he fancied a challenge and build me a new cab for lucky nudge , and to my surprise he agreed to do it !so here is a pictorial thread with a couple of vids showing progress and how the new cab was built by Wayne, how the original cab was and the clean up of components that I did .on top of all this ron 74 agreed to strip the deck and refurbish it .this just left the small matter of reproducing the bottom glass and yet again I was very lucky to know a mecca member who agreed to redraw the glass .Once this is done I will take it to a print place for the final peice of the jigsaw. So here is the project .thought I'd get a good head start before showing progress so there is quite a lot to show .

  4. Always been a big fan of the adders and ladders theme from Barcrest, especially the clubber. I managed to own one back in 2003 but sold it soon after (no room for more than 1 machine back then), and have been looking for another and finally found one on my door step and picked it up today. Needs some work but I do like a project … it works great though! Talking of adders and ladders and projects here is my BWB casino cab AWP I am mid refurbishing, new powder coated frames look fab 😊 My collection is coming along nicely.

  5. Hi, Does anyone on the forum repair or replace damaged cabs on machines. My brother has had this in his shed for years and unfortunately it’s got water damaged 🤦🏻 I know there’s a possibility of a donor cab if your lucky enough to find one especially with the side type buttons. Any advice be appreciated I’ve attached a photo as you can see the chip board has blown. He’s not looking to sell only restore and keep.

  6. Unreal. So nice to see you decide to rebuild rather than scrap it. Hats off to you 🎩
