  2. Just came across this photo on Twitter. The machine seems to be called Criss Cross. Anyone know who made it?

  4. Always been a big fan of the adders and ladders theme from Barcrest, especially the clubber. I managed to own one back in 2003 but sold it soon after (no room for more than 1 machine back then), and have been looking for another and finally found one on my door step and picked it up today. Needs some work but I do like a project … it works great though! Talking of adders and ladders and projects here is my BWB casino cab AWP I am mid refurbishing, new powder coated frames look fab 😊 My collection is coming along nicely.

  5. Just rediscovered this thread and I think I've remembered what the conversion was called - Trailblazer. It was Bell Fruit's own conversion, when all the machines were changed from Β£1 to Β£2 jackpot.

  7. Speed Kings is now in the workshop! I can't find any maker's label, but the sides of the reel mech are marked PMH by hand. The machine is playable, although the 2p acceptor needs cleaning out. It pays both 2p and 10p, the latter being the current, smaller sort, until the tube ran out, after which it started paying the old two-bob size ones which I was feeding it. Easiest changeover yet! It has random holds, plus a good racing car feature. Any car on the win line pays 4p, blue, green or red, unless the right colour feature lamp is lit, when it pays 10P. The reel detectors are round carbon brushes, spring-loaded in an adjustable tubular holder. First time I've seen that on a bandit. I'll try and get some pictures. Meanwhile, I'm going to give the clutch leathers a soak overnight.
