  1. Yeah shows what I know... I think my explanation comes from school and that's how to remember it. Thanks 😊

  2. Blimey that could be a result. I'll keep my fingers firmly crossed. Thanks very much.

  3. You sure it's not Random Access Memory?

  4. Hello mate, I have a cage from a bullion bars and have a eprom somewhere that was fitted in the card, I honestly thought there was two eproms fitted but it's years ago, the card was badly battery damaged, I'll have a look and see if I can find the eprom and send you the file to compare to yours, I think it's a 2732

  5. It's been a while but I've been beavering away with this tech over the preceeding months on and off. I've now got 3 X CPU cards functioning, the test rig almost complete but functional and it looks like two working chassis. I'll do a complete write up on all this when I get some time. Also managed to find a source for NOS CPU's at a reasonable price, and they work. One major issue has cropped up and this is with the game software, Bullion Bars. The CPU only came with one 2732 fitted and the links set for a 2716 in the second position but with no chip. The other software is Clubman and this appears to run fine as it has 2 x 2732 chips. The unknown factor at present is does Bullion Bars only have one chip or should there be two. With only the one chip it does boot but never initialises the reels and consequently doesn't do anything else. I know these machines are about as rare as it gets but someone out there might know something.

  6. Normally let the machine go to "read meters" with a door open and press LH1 button for demo play.

  7. Thanks, I couldn’t find one but thought it worth the ask as I’m not sure of the diode spec. The Cash IN meter works intermittently and Cash OUT has never worked. I’ve never been bothered as the meter sense works so I’m not getting any alarm. After a honeymoon period of 3 weeks where the machine has otherwise worked fine, it’s now developed a new issue of intermittently resetting on payout. Usually after the solenoid has fired once… the machine will reset itself, then pay out the remaining balance of coins. I thought I’d get the meter circuit functioning properly in case it has any bearing on this new issue. Thanks, the picture is making them look duller than they actually are, continuity tests ok, but you make a good point that’s worth doing so I’ll resolder them anyway. I’ll also do the same for the meter wires, and change the ULN2004A and the transistors (which I believe are BC328 & BC238).

  8. That's good to know as they are pretty rare beasts. I don't know the in's and out's of this tech, probably 80's but I'm sure someone will chip in if you'll excuse the pun.
