  1. To be fair this was a real tidy machine already (cabinet and glass) it was just the frames had flaking paint (and a lot of years of muck as usual) so hopefully will be like new in a week or so. A rare find in this condition so 100% worthy of a good recondition IMO. The reel glass artwork wasn't great either but I managed to get one in lovely condition thanks to this forum and also reel-band 4 was badly marked but again sorted (thanks @Tilly1) It's funny, in the wild I hated the auto play machines, but in home word you cant beat hitting them and watching / listening to the action - sheer bliss!! I post some completed pictures in due course

  2. Not sure if anyone is interested in these? I had a problem recently where I needed to clear a RAM down and fucked it up by shorting the battery out. Apparently itโ€™s a no no. I have not tested these yet so not sure if they work. I'll be checking them tomorrow as I have a corrupt RAM (I hope) If not then it's a PROM change MPU5CLR.ZIP

  6. Nice one Martin reel bands will be on there way next week as I had a busy weekend and had to find something solid to package them in so they donโ€™t get damaged as one cracked when I removed it for the reel but luckily it wasnโ€™t reel 4 ๐Ÿ˜

  10. There is or was lots of MPU 5 information here. Not sure if the search function works but it was done to death a good while back. Been a long time but I am sure but I had the mpu5 powered up to reset the watchdog, that is fiddly as the chip is tucked away.

  12. Interesting thread this one gents. I've got some pics of the mpu5 board. The maxim 703 at IC1 Also looking at the data sheet it's MR pin 6(manual reset). Seems like it has to be grounded but presumably when the board has power or maybe the new battery fitted? I think the IC will need power to it to register the Manual reset? I thought I'd post some pics and see what you fellas think as mpu5 is totally new on me.

  14. Plug in a keyboard and hit ctrl escape then you are into windows. Just remember itโ€™s windows embedded so you have to unlock and commit any changes.
