Hey Martin Yep spot on mine does that 50p for 5 plays. I can take a picture of the dip settings for you to match mine if that will help, if my roms can be dumped and you get a copy made to put in your machine, then thats another option too 🙂👍 Either way it's doable to get your machine to do the same as the one I have 👍2 points

Hi again, the temperature theory could lead you on a goose chase...unless you have to scrape snow off it! 😂 On impact 1 temprature does matter because the voltage regulators fallout of tolerance (zn404). Impact 3 they were engineered out. I think that because you've had the cpu and actel chip out of the sockets previously, first the logical thing is to look at those to start off with. Give the sockets a good squeeze. If that doesn't work and because the last cpu was dead pull the ics out again, very carefully again and straight up. Have a look at the contacts. Make sure none of the legs are bent, particularly the corner pins. You can manipulate them slightly outwards with a pair of needle tweasers. Also have you have to make sure that there's no 'scale' on any of the contacts. There could still be some minor battery damage somewhere there too... cold and humid are the conditions where it can really bloom quickly. Hope that helps you 😎2 points

Thanks Simon, the dip switch settings on the link to Bob’s post do not all work as documented on my machine (which is not unusual of course), for instance the auto hold is always on regardless of the dip switch stated. Without the alpha I’m not sure how I see the version of code, is it simply displayed on the 7 seg display? I’ll have to check tomorrow and report back. I do know @RobT’s version on YouTube works with one 50p = 5 credits which it what I’d like too as mine annoyingly dumps 2x20p coins and 1 credit - I also have a restricted gamble (had hoped it might be a very early unblocked version, no such luck). Cheers for reply and your help it’s much appreciated1 point

Hi @martinb thanks for the PM. Someone has already posted the dipswitch settings so that is not the issue. In the emulator it's tricky as well, think I used an used an unused button for 5 credits (no change). IIRC, it will show coins out from 50p change but nothing in so I found the 'hard' 50p button so to speak. In the end I gave up with the meters as it was a real pain and was unable to isolate a true meter reading (not that it matters in the real world), I even spoke to the late great Chris W about this issue regarding Special Series £100 meters going wonky after an update. Ok the emulator is not the same as the real thing but I'll have a look tomorrow after work. I did a brand new DX for Cabaret 100 about 2 years ago.. using my 20 year old MPU3 cabinet template, it's been sat in a folder ever since!1 point

I was obsessed as a kid on the slotties. We had a couple of arcades where I lived but luckily we were near Skegness, Cleethorpes and Mablethorpe. Full of old retro 2p bandits up until about 10 years ago. So miss them. Knew nearly all the reels. We had our own for machine company in louth. Louth coin conversions. They built starchaser. My first bandits that wasn't one arm. Got me hooked. I will always remember thrashing the bandits was so much fun..sorely missed now Rat Race, Super Two, Route 66, Banker, Ace Chase, Lucky Star, Cobra, among many. When I got older the 10p for 2 goes was my thing. Favourite ever was step-a-nudge. Where are all these bandits now? There must be an old bandit graveyard somewhere 🤔1 point

Honestly it does not, I have tested it thoroughly by say getting line 11 bonus nudge then just nudging in a win, works for both cash and tokens trust me on that one dude. Try it yourself by not taking line 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 12 or 14. Don't worry about 6, 7 and 10 as are auto collects. Right let me try again as I did say this but not in so much detail before on DIF as people would of thought I was up my own arse which is purely not the case as if I was I would not share this...... Back in the day I never actually discovered this it was my mate Steve who knew of Chris who I got to know later on down the line, Steve knew someone within the fruit machine industry and got a few bits of info in exchange for cash (basically buying emptiers), he then let me into it (obviously as I was his emptier in crime), Steve was a professional gambler who only ever touched anything that was guaranteed to pay and I was under strict orders not to touch anything else unless it was to offload tokens for cash (Bar X's, Spectre, High Point, Shogun etc), Steve also let Chris in on it (who was driving back then as we preferred public transport because things were easier to see on the top deck of a bus looking as we passed pubs, chippy's, kebab shops etc), so I in turn turned professional and discipling myself through Steve's tutelage. Now back to OTB, the reason why we use to empty line machines so quickly as a lot of the time use to nudge in boxed mixed 7s for £2.40 (no repeat of course) from line 11 (1 nudge), also took wins like £4 and £4.40 as some machines had the sound up too loud so never really fucked with the Jackpot as made things too obvious, we also switched it off when it threw in triple bars (yep, proud to say I used Mr Clickety Click) as it never went in the bank thus making the machine consistently chuck in £2 and £2.20, you want good Mystery Wins then try it this way?! First we emptied the cash then went to the bar for more drinks and change up at least £50 of notes whilst playing it to make the landlord think we were losing then in the end changed backed 20 or 30 quid so the landlord thinks we lost 20 quid and bought drinks on top, this is why machines I did always stayed for some time (up to over 2 years) until prats found it and made things so bloody obvious, one place we went after a year of actually starting to get a free drink off the landlord (and wasn't the only place) we were watched like hawks by the landlord and customers, that is when we knew it had been caned by someone else in such an obvious manner. It is the same with the original Monopoly, cash wins do not register, I have played that extensively after what you said as it has been a long time and my memory isn't what it use to be (but still have the touch), I flicked it on everything but Jackpot (or token wins if you want to include Park Lane) and after £150 or so in was over 90 quid up and that is without taking any Jackpots or having the streak. I wanted to clarify these points in detail before but was reluctant to because as a noob when I first started I didn't want to rustle any feathers, you know, new kid on the block who is a fucking know it all but in essence with my past and what I was taught you most probably could say I was and maybe still am I love to experiment which is how I found out emptiers for Scorps like Force Five, Sys5's like Hollywood Nights/Intrigue/Terminator and Sys85's like Bar 7's and lets not forget the old JPM's like Lootshoot, Nudge Bonanza, Special Reserve and many others, experimenting is how we found out how to do Surprise Surprize and that was off the backend of Barcode and Galaxy. Thank fuck for MFME!!!! I would apologise to Chloe with majorly going off topic but won't and you know why? She has built many machines like Hi-Lo Silver/Hyperdeal/Cashbank etc and of course Galaxy I requested of her and she truly loves this shite, don't get me wrong Chloe's classix are the best things since sliced bread and are superfluous to many a Pdx/Dx but will say that the moment she started putting fantastic backgrounds on them was the moment I fell in love with them.1 point
